I will say this...
I am sad and mad that he left, for a ton of reasons. Our organizations biggest fault was giving LBJ way too much power and bending to his every whim. I guess it just stings more that Miami tanked and now looks to be amazing for the next decade.
We did have a great supporting cast and definitely had been trying to get LBJ another all star type. Mo was a great pickup, sadly it didn't pan out for us in the playoffs but the guy was a good pickup. Twan was a good pickup, especially for what we gave up. Not to mention we tried for STAT (whom I wasn't sold on with his injuries) and came up just short. And in this bull shit off season it was rumored Toronto was ready to take our offer for Bosh.
Now we are left with the aftermath, even after we all heard for probably the past two years he was going to NY... and then NJ and then CHI... MIA... LA, etc. And if that wasn't enough... after all of Cavs nation defended LBJ and saying he was true to his home state... he goes to MIA on national TV. Not too mention after being two time MVP and on a back to back 60+ win team. Now, we get to here about how our front office didn't help LBJ and we made bad moves. I'm not saying we were perfect, but Ferry did what was asked of him and got a lot better talent for what little he had to trade.
Maybe this was all decided a ways back or maybe it was spur of the moment, but it sucks regardless. I still don't recognize LBJ in the Miami Jersey. I still think he will be there when we open up against Boston. But he won't... and now I get to here about the new "Big Three."
I like our owner and I haven't seen much of our new GM, but he's well respected and he did just pick us up Sessions for very little. I'm hopeful that with that with the picks we've amassed and the contracts and players we may be able to move this team could turn around pretty quick (i.e. in about 2-3 years).
Anyway, I haven't ever really had a chance to spit it all out... I know it's mostly been said. Hope I didn't bore anyone that read it.
