Xbox Live question

Anyone have any experience buying a 3month card for Xbox live? Normally I just buy a year +1 month, but I was a bit broke, so I went ahead and spent $20 on a 3 month card. I put the code in, and it shows up as a 12 month membership that doesn't end until 09/2010. Is this normal for the 3 month cards, or did I just get super lucky?

Looked around online, apparently it's just been happening recently, as I found a few forums with posts from the past 2 days about this.

So head's up, get down to Walmart, buy a 3 month card, I'd say 70% chance it gives you a year credit.

I'm not the only one. I found a few forums online with some other people that bought the card from walmart and got credit for a full year.

I just wanted to be certain that I was lucky, and it wasn't just a misprint by MS that would still end the account in 3 months. I'm happy to save $30 after the past 2 days I've had. Let's just say they haven't been great.

I would suggest checking Walmart and buying a 3month card. It's like the lotto only with better chances.

I'm seriously debating buying like 3-4 more just to get 3 more years of Xbox live for $60.

I haven't been paying for xbox live for around 1.5 years now...

My old credit card expired, they allways send me emails saying payment couldn't go through yet my xbox live has never been cancelled
