Year Two starts now
By Steve King, Staff Writer

Romeo Crennel acknowledges his team is better in one aspect. Now he wants to see that upgrade where it really counts.

"Overall, I feel a little bit better this year," Crennel said Wednesday following the first practice of his second training camp as Browns head coach. "Last year, I didn't know what this team was or who we had.

"With the guys we've added throughout the offseason, free agency and the draft, I think we've improved the talent on the team. That makes us better on paper.

"We still have to take it to the field and be better on the field. I told the players we have to be better on Sundays. If we are better on Sundays, we'll have a chance to make this a winning program, which we are aiming to get done."

He added, "I think improvement is an area that we are going to focus on this year. In the second year of the program, the coaches have been together for two years and the players have been in the system for a year. They should know the system better, and they should know what is expected of them."
