I did the same with The Dark Knight Rises and my parameters said it objectively was kind of a stupid movie.

I mean, let's be real here...when the best scene in your movie is a parody clip someone made where your villain freestyles, you didn't quite hit your target.



When Christopher Nolan releases a director's cut with that scene in the film, I will concede that Rises is a good movie. Until then, it was poorly written, albeit reasonably entertaining.

I've recently realized that movies are 40x better when high.

One of my favorites. Guy Ritchie is a pretty polarizing director, people either love him or hate him. Personally I'm a big fan of his british crime flicks. Only one I really wasn't a fan of was Revolver, that was just weird. Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels is excellent. Snatch is probably the best of the bunch. RockNRolla is good as well, plus you can always watch it with Dave if you don't mind him masturbating to a gay Tom Hardy.

I won't get into the Sherlock Holmes flicks as I'm very biased. Sherlock is my favorite fictional character of all time.

Snatch is great.

I bought Argo the other night. Debating watching it tonight but I'll be lurking the trade threads and I don't want to distract myself from the movie. I have high hopes for Argo. Affleck has proven to be a pretty good director. Shifty actor, or used to be. But solid director.

I think Argo is solid, but there's not really a whole lot to it. Nowhere near the depth of the others
