Kyrie and Love is a way better duo than Wade and Bosh now days in my opinion. That is just theoretical anyway.

Offensively its a good question, but kinda hard to fairly judge that. Wade and Bosh's output are lessened because they're on the same team with each other and the best player in the game. Hard to tell how they ("Drew and Wes") would look paired together and with James. Now the good thing is that hypothetical threesome has enough variety in their games where they wouldnt overlap as much as the Heat threesome does.

Defensively its not even a comparison...and i mean from a pure defensive standpoint. I.e guarding your man, not so much rebounding which technically is the final piece to successful defense.

Nothing more, nothing less. I agree, it looks crazy from afar. It's really hard to believe that all of the pieces could fall into place like that. I'm not saying that's how it's going to go down, but it's at least a possibility, even if it's a slight one.

We have all of this cap space, young talent, draft picks..... we have a lot of assets at our disposal. If you want to lure a 3rd big-time free agent, doesn't even have to be LeBron James , you are right Tlyons: it's one hell of a sellling point to have two all stars.

We already have one in Kyrie. He's probably not going anywhere for 8 years. He's going to be the recipient of the "Derrick Rose" maximum contract rule, that will allow Cleveland to offer him far and away the most guaranteed dollars and years.

We need to use all of these chips we currently have and land another all-star.... go from there.... if we can do so, your odds of actually contending skyrocket, especially in this day and age of the NBA.

We have the assets, we have the ripe bananas. So sell them bitches before they go rotten and we get nothing in return. That's flushing value down the toilet if you just let your assets expire and deplete in value. Sell HIGH!

Why would OKC trade Ibaka? They just gave up James Harden because they wanted Ibaka more. He's the best shot blocker in the league, and his mid-range game is ripe right now. He's the most effective big man from 15-18 feet on the mid-range jumper. In addition to that, he's still only like 23 or 24. He's the second coming of Dikembe. They are not trading Ibaka. There is no reason to. Kevin Love for them would be a lateral move. Maybe it would be okay and they'd rain three's like 09' Orlando, but their defense would take a massive hit.

Not enough incentive for them to make the move, they would fuck up their chemistry by trading their best defender.

Exactly and why is everyone assuming that he opts out anyway, maybe he has his mind set on brooklyn who have cap space the 2015 in his other opt out year.

Not sure what spreadsheet you're looking at, but the Nets are SEVERELY over the cap until the summer of 2016.

as poorly as i think the front office has handled a lot of situations, it's always nice to see they aren't the token team in the league who tries to buy a contender in a capped system. realizing they have little to no chance of really contending anytime soon musta taken a lot of air out of the excitement of getting a team in brooklyn.
