Re: 2012 Presidential Election
Obama's promise to cut the deficit in half was no more realistic than Mitt's tax plan. If you think cutting the deficit in half while delivering all the other shit on the Obama agenda was mathematically possible...I don't want to hear from you about math.
Or were all the Obama voters in an uproar about that math as well?

Re: 2012 Presidential Election
I'm normally with you on your posts, but can you elaborate on this a bit? Obama did indeed propose a $4.5T tax reduction, and further proposed cutting defense spending by $500B. Couple the two and that's $5T over 10 years. That would constitute a deficit reduction of nearly 50%. If tax revenues increased with an expanding economy, especially with a higher tax rate, we could potentially see a balanced budget within 10 years.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election
How's this any different then Bush? I didn't see you or any Republicans complaining when Bush was spending like a drunken sailor.
So now we're going to get mad that we're spending money on our own people?-Obamacare. (don't read it, just vote yes on it)
Started with Bush and before I hear ohhh the housing crisis was because of the Democrats. The OTC Derivative crisis was because of the Republicans and Bush was warned about it.-Unemployment/Jobs
Romney knows how to run a business. A business and a country are two different things.
This is what advisers are for. I don't think you understand Keynesian economics. Which by the way is more proven to work then Supply Side economics.Obama is a politician with a law degree. Great... but does he know ANYTHING about how the economy works? It doesn't seem like it, if he does...
Who's to say Donald Trump won't just put it in his vault, buy a house/car (out of the US), expand his business internationally, use the money to outsource, invest in foreign stock or take an elaborate vacation (out of the country) with the money he gets from tax breaks? To say ohhh he'll hire more people and expand his business is not the truth. People don't behave rationally.Last edited by The Voice; 11-06-2012 at 06:29 AM.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election
Anyone else look back and think about how far we've come in this thread (Rick Perry) and how much we've lost (DougHeil)? Regardless, I can't be happier that the political ads are over in ~12 hours.
