Tony Parker just buried a long jumper as time expired to win it...OKC had the ball with 10 seconds left but Kevin Durant was lazy catching a pass and Leonard stripped it, setting up the game winner for SA.

WTF? What was Westbrook doing? He got screened and ran in the complete opposite direction to guard no body. Bizarre. Easiest game winning shot I've seen.. wide open mid range jumpshot for quite possibly the best mid range player in the game. Embarrassing break down.

i've been seeing a lot of "vintage tim duncan" tweets tonight, and i have to just comment. Tim has been doing the small game changing stuff every game, there's nothing that has changed to him, he's still out there doing what he's doing. no matter how old he's getting.

I love the NBA. Opening week of the season and everyone is wildly overreacting to everything. Now, can't wait to watch the Cavs go 82-0.

nah, people would've realized how overrated westbrook is (esp on defense) last year too if they paid attention more

Nothing to say. Westbrook was the best defender at the guard position on Team USA. Not even close to overrated.

I am going to be quite satisfied if the Lakers start out 0-3.

Lakers are trash without steve nash.. if you look closely at the numbers, Kobe and Dwight are actually still super efficient, and Gasol is so so. But Steve Blake is terrible as in way worse than Ramone Sessions, and MWP nee Ron Ron has lost a step or four. I think they will make the palyoffs, but our draeft pick mit not be terrible.

Lin has had two good games so far, is he still a fluke to people or is he a legitimate solid player yet?

lin has been a legitimate solid player, there wasn't anything disputing that. the question was whether his star-quality numbers were a fluke or if he was just a solid player.

personally, i think he falls somewhere in the middle. tho isn't really a knock on him. a lin/harden backcourt is a good starting point and has a ridiculous bbiq.

also, lakers perimeter d is so bad. aging nash, kobe, and artest? ya that's not gonna do so well.

but lol @ everyone writing them off after 3 games. an adjustment period is inevitable when you acquire a top 2-3 player in the league who happens to be coming off of serious surgery and a star - albeit old - pg. what happens in the first few weeks of the season means absolutely nothing about the playoffs. they are going to be fine, and the cavs pick still won't be good.

He's solid without a doubt, what's even more interesting is that he and James Harden compliment each other very well. They also both make their teammates better. They need more offense from their frontcourt as you cannot realistically ask Harden to score 30-40 PPG.

What's also exciting is that Kyrie and Dion can potentially become as effective, if not better, as Lin and Harden are right now, with more room for growth on both offense and defense.
