Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Hawks and Blazers are playing a good game right now for anyone with league pass. I like this Portland team, they are fun to watch.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
J.J Hickson had 19/18 last night for the Blazers. The night before he had 13/14.
Portland has certainly resurrected his career. He is only 24, so he does still have alot of time in front of him if he keeps his head on straight moving in this direction.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Yes they got shafted
No doubt about it...it was a questionable call which is TOTALLY different than a wrong or bad call. (Raise your hand if your suprised that the League MVP got a questionable call vs a random role player on the Houston Rockets....) With that being said the nba/refs didnt:
- give LeBron the lane for the gw basket
- make Linsanity shoot an airball on his WIDE OPEN 3pt attempt
- fail to blockout Bosh after Wade missed both fts
- didnt iso Harden on the wing vs James with the game clock running down.
The Rockets lost like most teams because they failed to execute when it mattered most.
oh yeah....

...stop it with the flop allegation. NOTHING that happened on that play fit the NBA's definition of flopping.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
You can say that about half the league though. Is everyone on the Cavs worthless other than Andy because they don't play any defense? Of course not.
JJ is an undersized center, but is rebounding at a clip right now that outstanding. That at least suggests if nothing else he is being active and not lazy.

Dwight Howard looks weird with a headband. The Lakers don't like each other.
And oh yeah, Popovich is by far the best coach in the league.. and its not even close. The guy just dupes you every time.
Just a few weeks ago, he ran a play for Parker to win the game.. Spurs down 1 with under 24 to go.. naturally you assume he puts the ball in Tonys hands just as everyone in the arena assumes, no? Nope, runs Danny Green off a screen for a wide open three. Just a beautifully designed play.

The thing about that is he has the cache to make that call based on his resume. Could you imagine would ensue if he was a unproven coach in a big time market who went to his 4th/5th/6th-ish option for a game winning shot? Only so many coaches could get away with that.

Not bad, but I liked the play the Lakers ran after that. Pau gets in the corner and stands there for 10 seconds and fires a heavily contested 3 for the loss. After the game Bernie Bickerstaff says there was no confusion and that Pau had a good look, just didn't knock it down. Evidently that's what was supposed to happen.

Darnell Mayberry @DarnellMayberry
After getting ejected in the 4th quarter, Kendrick Perkins & Zach Randolph had an altercation near the locker rooms. Police investigating.
Josh Campbell @ColtsSharksReds
Further details about the Z-Bo/Perk fight from my buddy at the arena "Multiple punches were landed, Zach with more, police stepped in"
We need video asap. Z-Bo don't play that

Poor decision making.. yet I didn't expect anything less from a guy nicknamed ZBo.. Grizz look like the best team in the league right now, what a momentum killer.

Dwyane Wade is such a damn punk. Easily my most hated player in the league right now. Plays dirty, but when someone dares to touch him, even if it isn't that much, he's offended.
Patiently waiting for the day I can finally say "Daniel Gibson is no longer a Cavalier." It will be glorious.

And good lord the Pacers. Just awful right now. So many teams with bleak futures. Imagine being an Indiana fan realizing that your team had just given Roy Hibbert a max deal. Guy can barely get you 12 points a night.

Clippers are running shit this half. Very deep. My favorite in the west right now. Wade is a twat - cant wait to see him take a nose dive.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
The Clippers look very, very good. They seem to have much better movement this year on offense and they play faster. Give some props to VDN on that. Normally Paul doesn't like to play fast, but he's definitely got that team moving quicker
