Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Or maybe its just another example of a guy who goes hard in his contract year and is satisfied now that he got the big contractI think the loss of Granger has hurt Hibbert a lot more than the loss of Collison. Towards the end of last year, Hill was getting starter's minutes and Collison wasn't that productive at all for the Pacers all year.Hibbert's game left with Collinson

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
A comment on Lakers v Houston.
Lakers are playing better, and Dwight and Kobe are carrying the rest of e team, but so far they have only beaten teams under 500. I will not be a believer until the beat a few good teams.. As for Houston, the truth is that Lin just is not that good. Their record is not his fault entirely, but he is a part of the problem. Hardin rocks, but cannot carry this team solo...We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit - Aristotle as quoted by Shaq..

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
The fact that Colangelo still has a job at this point means he has some fantastic dirt on someone imo. The guy is incompetant beyond words. This is the guy responsible for the Miami situation ever being a possibility by not only giving Bosh the option to leave, but forcing him to leave with his incompeance.
Let's look at the Colangelo check list.
He traded expiring contracts (JO) to Miami to give them the cap space to sign the douche three. For the honours of allowing the Heat to sign the three he also decided it would be a good idea to give them a first round pick...
Before that trade he traded all of his assets for JO...
Signed Hedo to a terrible contract...
Drafted Bargs at #1 in admittedly one of the weakest drafts ever.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
I noticed last game Washington moved Crawford to the starting SG and Beal off the bench. What happened there?
I know Beal hasn't been playing well to start the season.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Washington is a bad team that made moves to try and win now, but so far they have back fired. They seem to be more concerned about trying to get the 8th seed than they are about allowing their young team to grow. Thank god we are not in their situation imo. They are the definition of tread mill of mediocrity.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
I dont think they made moves to win now. they got rid of the most part of their core and brought in veterans to play with their youngs guys they still have. Washington learned the hard way you gotta have sme experience and maturity in your locker room

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
nah washington had just compiled arguably the dumbest group of young guys in the league and simply faced the consequences. veterans wouldn't have changed a thing.

Washington learned nothing. They just got tired of having a thugish, immature, and boneheaded image across the league. They made a move for Nene, which is the definition of a win now move, and then they made a move for Okafor and Ariza, again the definition of a win now move. If they were in develop, and add to the core mode they wouldn't have made moves for players who are 27/30/30.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Washington has John Wall, They drafted Bradley Beal,Jan vesely, Singleton, Seraphin , Crawford and Booker,
Grunfield stated that he was adding veterans because he felt the team was oversaturated with youth without direction. now some may questions their offseason acquisitions and the waiver wire veterans they could of added to develop their youth and be somewhat competitive but the cncept is still the same.
I dont see any reason to doubt them. personally i dont think they know a quality locker room guy if someone handed them ne on a silver platter.
regardless. The coach and a few players have echoed the same sentiment.
If the guy says "we brought in too many youngs guys and not enough vets for them to learn how to play with" he might very well mean just that.
Launching the sason hoping to cmpete for an 8th seed is not very lofty nor what I would consider "win now"

Washington starting out 0-10.
Patiently waiting for the day I can finally say "Daniel Gibson is no longer a Cavalier." It will be glorious.

Man I'd like to see this Warriors team make the playoffs, but Jesus Klay Thompson has been just awful so far this season.

Carl Landry looking like a potential sixth man of the year. Man I'd love to have he and Jarret Jack on our bench.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Since we were just discussing Hibbert, I just noticed he had his first career triple double last night: 10 points (granted on 3/12 shooting), 11 rebounds and 11 BLOCKS! Yikes. Paul George nailed 9 threes in the game, too....establishing a new career high in points for himself.

After coming back from injury JJ has gone 14/13 and 19/10 in his last 2 games.
