Re: NBA Regular season games thread
NBA stat of the night.
Blazers were -19 in Sasha Pavlovic's 6 minutes on the court.
That is freaking incredible.

These OKC-Miami games just aren't entertaining at all. And that's weird considering that both teams are usually pretty enjoyable to watch. Something about playing each other brings out the worst in both.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
The charge call (mostly the heat) is getting out of control. It used to be u get out of the restricted area and are set but now its be out of the restricted area nothing else matters. Alot of charges called when the player is still moving climaxing with the worst charge call in the history of the nba, when ray allen took a charge on a fast break not only was he moving but he took the charge with his shoulder

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Ray Allen is the biggest flopper in the NBA right now. That entire team just gets so many questionable charge calls.
On a positive note, the Lakers have won 5 straight, so we might see our pick this season.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
I know this is a lil late but i've been with fam all day....
The OKC Thunder continue to blow my mind. How on earth do you leave out your big line-up with Perk/Ibaka when you are getting torched on defense and gaining no advantage whatsoever on offense. The part that just drove me nuts was when Miami had the ball with 29 seconds left, the Thunder had 3 timeouts, and Miami put out their small line-up with LBJ at the 4, yet the Thunder without thinking twice still threw perkins and ibaka out there. Either scott brooks is an idiot or he is being controlled by an idiot in their front office. The Thunder have so much potential, yet even with how good they are, they still waste the majority of their time trotting out one of their worst line-ups....

Brooks is notorious for not straying from his rotation and it showed once again tonight.
As for the heat, well they just beat one the best teams in the league despite shooting horribly from beyond the arc. they'll repeat this year.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
The Thunder have a few issues that they need to resolve.
Russell Westbrook is still an immature player. You have to appreciate his aggressiveness in certain situations but at times he seems like a player more concerned with getting his stats than winning the game. It is a tricky situation because you don't want to stop him from making plays. But at the same time he gets out of control and really hurts the Thunder. Personally, I would have traded Westbrook instead of Harden but that is my opinion. I think a true PG with Harden and Durant on the wings would create a more balanced team.
The Thunder don't have a guy that can post up and get points. This is a crucial part of the team. Some argue that the Heat didn't have a post presence and still won but Lebron played in the post quite often in key moments. This is why I really would prefer the Cavs add another post player as opposed to a wing in the draft or a trade. Based on some recent rumors with Aldridge and Love and Gasol the Cavs believe this as well.
The Perkins situation is a tough one. He could prove extremely helpful against some big teams like the Lakers and Grizzlies. But against smaller teams like Miami he is a liability. Jeff Green would be a much better fit for the Thunder against Miami.
It will be interesting to see what the Thunder do at the deadline but I saw the same team I saw in June today. That won't be enough to win a Championship.

Westbrook definitely lost the game for the Thunder down the stretch yesterday.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
So....Magic Johnson called the Clippers....showtime. Do you agree? The Clips are the best team in the NBA and CP3 and Griffin are only getting better. Bledsoe is having a heck of a year so far.
"I thought I would never, ever, see showtime again....the Clippers? That's showtime."
