A fracture and break are two different words that mean the same thing, fwiw.

I'm of the mindset that KI is starting to appear to be fragile, but I really have to cut him slack on this one. I was talking on the phone with a friend last night when he fell. When he fell, all I could keep saying was "holy shit...holy shit...holy shit." She asked what was wrong. I told her our best player just broke his fn face. That fall was brutal. I'm actually shocked it wasn't worse and he kept playing. Tough kid. It also makes me wonder about all the people who think this kid gets held out for bs/phantom injuries. I'm pretty sure if that was the mentality, they would be sitting the kid for at least a game or two...at least. I think that concept gets exaggerated a bit around here by people who believe this team has this tank or die mentality.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but I checked the box score late at night....wouldn't have known the kid broke his face.

Right on. I was of the belief that a fracture was less severe. Either way, that fall was scary as hell - first thing I thought the split second he hit the deck was concussion.

It definitely could have been much worse. Like I said, that kid is tough as nails, man. Those floors are very unforgiving. I'm not sure there are many people who fall like that and don't suffer the same kind of trauma, if not worse. Props to KI for getting up and playing the rest of the game out.

Kid smacked his face on the floor. Hard. He's a 6'3 190lbs guard. Fractured his cheek. Kid managed to drop 26 still, and isn't missing time.

You say soft and injury prone? I say the kid is a beast.

How about trampoline floors? And 15 foot hoops? How awesome would that be.

Rip wears a head band with his mask. I think the the Cavs in a mask should do the same thing. it might help Zeller with his fogging and sweat issues. Alonzo's mask had fabric around the perimeter of his mask

I don't think anyone is saying he isn't tough minded, just that he seems to break a lot of bones.
I was raised by a cup of coffee.

The triple mask thing is nuts though. I don't know that any team has had 3 players in masks before

Hopefully this offseason the coaching staff can get him to work on his body more. A bit more weight and muscle and a lot of these hits he takes driving to the rim won't knock him off so much.

The number 3 just isn't very kind to the Cavaliers.

    3 masks (Kyrie, Tyler, Tristan)
    3 broken bones (Kyrie)
3 years and then fired (Byron Scott)
