Smart move and this is not a team "designed to lose" as you put. There was no grand plan to assemble shitty players and lose for the sake of losing. If this was the case, Byron Scott would bench Kyrie and play Casspi one on five...

We suck as a result for a long term solution to build a winning franchise, not because we signed CJ Miles (who's ass is benched, another hole in your conspiracy) and everyone came together to purposely lose.
Boo...poor logic. Our goal is to develop young talent and attain a high draft pick. Benching Kyrie and playing Casspi would only address one of the goals. Playing Kyrie with a bunch of rookies/sophomores and borderline NBA talent would achieve both. It is clear this is what they are doing. Call it "tanking" or call it a "long term solution" it is the same thing. We don't want to lose intentionally, but we certainly don't want to win intentionally either.

The trade, I think, served two purposes...won us some assets that we can flip or use later and brought some fight to a team that lost momentum the past month or so. This team has a clear long term goal and that gives really excites me and makes the tough losses easier to endure...the light at the end of the tunnel if you will. So much sweeter than a cheap Lebron/Wade/Bosh superteam title.

We have a separate thread for each of these topics, so let's take the Coach Scott & tanking conversation out of the Kyrie thread.

Fun stat of the night: There were 35 posts on the RealGM Toronto Raptors forum's Raps vs Cavs thread within the first 60 seconds that Kyrie made that shot.

This blows my mind because, not only does every Raptor fan in the nation post on RealGM, some are able to post 3 times in 60 seconds.

Spent a good amount of time (probably too much lol) on this Kyrie Irving highlight vid. Hadn't seen any clutch shots highlights videos yet, so this was my best attempt. Only my second try at doing one of these videos, but pretty happy with how it came out. May bounce this around the forum if people don't mind

Irving Is Fifth Player With 3 Straight 30-point Games Before Age 21

From Elias: Kyrie Irving scored 32 points in the Cavaliers' win against the Raptors, his third straight game with 30 or more points. The 20-year old Irving became only the fifth player in NBA history to register three straight 30-point games before his 21st birthday. The others were John Drew, Bernard King, LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

The Raptors wore camouflage uniforms to mark Canadian Forces Appreciation Night. More than 500 Canadian Forces members and their families attended the game.

AC : "He's able to leap STRONG buildings in a single bound!" I think Kyrie "broke" AC a play or two back with that insane drive to the hoop for a bucket and AC never recovered after that.

He is a closer, simple and plain. I'd take Kyrie in the 4th quarter over LeBron, KD, Paul Pierce. Kobe and Kyrie has that cold blooded gene and that's something that cannot be taught.

I watched the game on NBA TV this morning and, as a true European, I shouted "Goal!!!" when Kyrie made that shot

Canadian Forces are pretty much qualified to toilet paper houses and that's about it....

Kyrie had a sniper-rifle last night though...
