That shit is un fucking believable.

Honestly fuck people. People are so fucking stupid.

Another witness, who was initially interviewed on March 20, said she saw two people on the ground immediately after the shooting but was not sure who was on top.
But in another interview with investigators six days later, the paper reported, she was sure: It was Zimmerman on top.
"I know after seeing the TV of what's happening, comparing their sizes, I think Zimmerman was definitely on top because of his size," the woman, "
Like are you fucking kidding me.

Even if these people are admitted in as "witnesses," the fact that they changed their story will make them very easy to attack. Stupid, they should only use what they said they saw the first time.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some witness tampering either with all the emotion and people involved in this from the outside that would like to see Zimmerman burn no matter what.

Personally, I don't have a pony in this race so I could give a crap, but this whole case sounds like it's built on a house of cards on both ends.

Defense: George Zimmerman in police custody - Boston.com

Back to jail. George Zimmerman's bail was revoked because he and his wife lied to the judge about his finances. Not so good for his credibility.

Jose Baez to Represent Chris Serino in George Zimmerman Trial - ABC News

In an unusual move, the lead detective in George Zimmerman's murder trial, has hired Jose Baez, who gained fame when he successfully defended Casey Anthony against charges that she'd murdered her 2-year-old daughter, to represent him.

    Getty Images
Chris Serino, a former Sanford, Fla., police major crimes investigator, ignited controversy when he filed an arrest affidavit weeks after the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, despite insufficient evidence to make a case.

Baez, whose name had already popped up as a possible attorney to represent Zimmerman, confirmed to ABC News that he would now represent the controversial investigator Serino as depositions get under way.

Serino was reassigned to the overnight shift soon after video and audio interrogation tapes were released last summer that revealed he had doubts about Zimmerman's version of events in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin last Feb. 26.

Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch captain, said Martin was acting suspicious and soon became confrontational when Zimmerman encountered him walking through the subdivision where Zimmerman lived. In audio tapes recorded three days after the shooting, Zimmerman claimed he was attacked by Martin and shot him in self-defense.

But in the Feb. 29 recordings, Serino openly doubted the story.

"You ever hear of Murphy's Law," asks Serino. "This person was not doing anything bad. You know the name of the person that died?"

"Tavon," responds Zimmerman. "Trayvon," Serino shot back. "Trayvon Martin" responds Zimmerman. "Trayvon Benjamin Martin. ... He was 17. ... A kid with a future," said Serino. "In his possession we found a can of ice tea and a bag of Skittles. And $40 in cash. Not the goon."

Serino then questioned the extent of Zimmerman's injuries, telling him that despite the broken nose and two lacerations on the back of his head, his injuries did not seem consistent with someone involved in a life-or-death struggle.

"You wanted to catch him. You wanted to catch the bad guy," said Serino, aggressively.

Serino later recommended that manslaughter charges be brought against Zimmerman, but Seminole County State's Attorney Norm Wolfinger rejected the request, citing a lack of concrete evidence. The initial lack of an arrest in the case led to widespread protests, and propelled the case into the national headlines. In April, special prosecutor Angela Corey, appointed by Florida Gov. Rick Scott, charged Zimmerman with second-degree murder.

Serino and several other Sanford police officers will soon be giving sworn statements to the Zimmerman legal team. Mark O'Mara, Zimmerman's lead attorney, said that public pressure -- not evidence -- helped lead to charges being filed in the case.

The Zimmerman defense team is building evidence for an immunity hearing at which they'll likely invoke Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense law, and argue that Zimmerman killed Martin in self-defense. If the case is not dismissed, the trial is set for June 10.

I feel really bad for Trayvon only, but I am not ready to call Zimmerman a murderer. If I had a gun and someone had my head banging against the ground and had broken my nose, I'd probably at least pistol whip the kid if not try to shoot him in the leg. Problem is, I don't own a gun and I was not in the position. Easy to say what I'd have done in the situation, but I'm not sure if I could even aim at his leg if my face was getting hit.

Rap Soda you probably would have stopped stalking him when 911 told you they did not need you to do that. Once it made it to the actual fight, yea you do what you have to do to stay alive and deal with the consequences later but the fact is it should have never gotten to that point.

Can't argue with that. Again, though, I wasn't in the situation. Can't really say for sure what I would've done. I know what I'd like to have done and it would be to, like you said, stop pursuing TM.

It shouldn't have, but it did. And once in a situation where the back of your head is getting bashed in, you're forced to make a decision, which was poor in my opinion.

It's been confirmed that trayvon's girlfriend was definitely on the phone with him when it happened. Phone records indicate that much. Her testimony is the only thing that will kill the stand your ground law. And her testimony would also call into question GZ's official story. He has already mislead the court about his finances.

So you mean Trayvon wasn't a 7 year old? My favorite part was the prosecution trying to place a gag order on this due to "inordinate amount of media coverage".

    Sick.

(CNN) -- Items taken from Trayvon Martin's cell phone -- including a text-message discussion of drug use and pictures of a gun and marijuana plants -- are among new details released Thursday by attorneys for the neighborhood watch volunteer accused of killing him without provocation 14 months ago.
The evidence, George Zimmerman's attorneys say, paints a different picture of the 17-year-old than the one portrayed by his family and supporters. Lead defense attorney Mark O'Mara says he will try to use the evidence if prosecutors attempt to attack Zimmerman's character during his trial on second-degree murder charges, set to begin next month.
Also Thursday, O'Mara filed motions in court. One asks for sanctions against the state for withholding evidence and for saying it didn't have more evidence when asked. The second requests that his client's trial be delayed.
Much of the new evidence disclosed Thursday in filings by Zimmerman's attorneys comes from Martin's cell phone, including photos showing a semiautomatic pistol and ammunition and small marijuana plants growing in pots.
    Photos: Trayvon Martin evidence
In other pictures, Martin is pictured making obscene gestures in an apparent self-portrait, as well pictures showing him with friends and in other settings.
The text messages include a conversation from November 2011 in which he appears to say his mother has kicked him out of the house after "da police caught me outta skool."
"So you just turning into a lil hoodlum," the person with whom he is texting says.
"Naw, I'm a gangsta," the text message read.
In other messages, text message exchanges appear to be discussing guns.
"U wanna share a .380 w/ (blacked out)," one text message sent from Martin's phone reads.
Is the defense trashing Trayvon Martin? Court evidence angers Martin family Zimmerman's brother slammed for tweets O'Mara: Evidence shows Trayvon attacked
The text messaging logs are also peppered with references to marijuana use.
"I got weed nd I get money Friday," a message sent from his phone reads.
"I hid m weed," another text sent from Martin's phone reads. "its wrapped."
The attorney for Martin's family, Benjamin Crump, says the evidence is "irrelevant" and predicted it would never be used at Zimmerman's trial.
"Is the defense trying to prove Trayvon deserved to be killed by George Zimmerman because (of) the way he looked?" Crump said in a statement released Thursday.
"If so, this stereotypical and closed-minded thinking is the same mindset that caused George Zimmerman to get out of his car and pursue Trayvon, an unarmed kid who he didn't know. The pretrial release of these irrelevant red herrings is a desperate and pathetic attempt by the defense to pollute and sway the jury pool."
Instead, he said, jurors will focus on Zimmerman's arrest for battery on a police officer, a domestic violence injunction and other issues he said demonstrate a "propensity for violence."
Zimmerman's defense also released Thursday a handwritten note that was allegedly written by someone who was on the phone with Martin when the confrontation with Zimmerman took place.
The note, dated March 19, 2012, is not addressed to anyone in particular and it's not clear why the person wrote it.
It reads: "He started walking then noticed someone was following him. Then he decided to find a shortcut cause the man wouldn't follow him. Then he said the man didn't follow him again. Then he looked back and saw the man again. The man started getting closer. Then Trevon turned around and said why are you following me!!
"Then I heard him fall, then the phone hung up. I called back and (not legible) no response. In my mind I thought it was just a fight. Then I found out this tragic story."
Zimmerman recently waived his right to a pretrial hearing under Florida's "stand your ground" law, which allows people to use deadly force when threatened regardless of where they are.
His attorneys will claim self-defense at trial.
A representative of the special prosecutor handling the case did not immediately return an e-mail message seeking comment on the evidence.
Prosecutors renewed their motion for a gag order in the case Thursday because, they say, they're concerned about finding an impartial jury given the "inordinate amount of media coverage."
Two previous gag order requests by the prosecution have been denied.

Dude shot and killed an unarmed kid, why are you trumpeting his case? You don't know what happened so let the legal system play itself out. There is nowhere near enough evidence to suggest Zimmerman is innocent; whereas, it is a fact that he killed someone. While he is innocent until proven guilty, the evidence is certainly not in his favor.

Just can't understand why so many people are behind this guy when they don't know what happened. But I'm guessing it's also why the prosecutor is looking for a gag order, because there will be a tough time getting an impartial jury. Obviously if you were on the jury, you'd vote to acquit and stories like the above help you rationalize that decision.

I thought Stand your Ground was his best route. But I'm obviously not a lawyer and I don't have all the facts. Also, how does that hand written note help Zimmerman? Are they trying to say Martin's girlfriend was coached into saying what was written on the letter?

Edit: n/m on the SYG. I read that to mean he waived SYG and went with traditional self defense or something.

This case has been a black eye for both sides of the justice system.

You tell JSS that he doesn't know what happened and to let the legal system play out, then you basically say there's no doubt he's guilty.

I don't understand why so many people think this was a hate crime and want him executed when they don't kow what happened. Personally, I'm not necessarily behind him. I think he's an idiot. But I also don't think he should be a sacrificial lamb given up becuase many in the black community are outraged and think Zimmerman exectuted Trayvon becuase of the color of his skin. Let's be honest, if Zimmerman and Trayvon look like this, does your opinion on the case change? Mine wouldn't, but i'm neither black nor latino.

Back to your "nowhere near enough evidence to suggest Zimmerman is innocent" comment. I think you're nuts. Zimmerman says he was knocked to the ground with one punch that broke his nose, then Trayvon started slamming his head on the cement, he feared his life was in danger so he shot Trayvon. Medical records show he had a broken nose. There are numerous photos of the back of his head being bloodied and cut up. Medical examiners found two injuries on Trayvon, a gun shot wound and broken skin on his knuckles. Zimmerman is screaming like a bitch on the 911 tapes. A witness said Zimmerman was on the ground screaming like a bitch and getting his ass kicked. Those screams sound like someone that absolutely thought his life was in danger. Zimmerman says he shot him...not because he was black...but because he was getting his ass handed to him and was terrified. Not saying he was right. I'd love to see him do some time for manslaughter and just being stupid. But, I'm not 100% sure if he broke the law due to the idiocy of "stand your ground" or maybe even simple self defense. The evidence seems to support Zimmerman's account of what happened. It's not nearly the slam dunk you think it is.
