This is a good article by Pro Football Focus. It talks about an adjusted completion % for throws behind the line of scrimmage, 0-9 yds, 10-19 yds, and 20+. It talks about the top 10 and bottom 10 QBs in each area and how their stats relate to where they should be based on historical data. It's an interesting read. It has a lot of charts which don't cut/paste well so click the link to read it.

I put this in the Weeden thread because it's QBs. Weeden appeared on 1 list, he was 10th in completion % of 10-19 yards last year. Surprisingly, he did not make any of the bottom 10 lists.

Funny, Sanchize is bottom 10 on all lists except long balls where he's not on either. Just funny, couple bitter Browns fans today were still bitter we don't have him.

Never, has anyone here said Brandon Weeden IS elite. Not one single time.

b00bie was referring to Sanchez, not Weeden, with that comment.

He was referring to Pip's love affair for Sanchize.
I've been nothing but complementary of Weeden.

Even the mods here are smart enough to know Weeden will never be elite.

The Browns plan to give Brandon Weeden "most" of the first-team quarterback reps in offseason workouts.
In other words, this won't be an even competition with Jason Campbell. Campbell is in Cleveland to "push" Weeden, but the latter has a firm grip on the job. Per the Plain Dealer's Terry Pluto, the Browns do not believe any draft-eligible quarterback is worthy of the No. 6 overall pick. The "assumption" is Weeden will start Week 1, with Jason Campbell behind him. The Browns hope to "immerse" Weeden in an offense highlighting his downfield passing ability from the shotgun

A coach who will design a scheme around his players talents instead of forcing every shape of peg into a round hole? Have we had that in Cleveland since the team came back?
