Re: 2013 NBA Draft
There's been some Wiggins talk, so for those of you haven't seen anything of him, here's a little glimpse:
Personally, I am wowed every time I see Wiggins. In terms of a comparison, I see a bit more LeBron than Durant (if those are the two you want to look at) just because of his staggering athleticism and the fact that he's not near 7 feet with an immaculate shooting touch. He doesn't have the passing gifts or the body LeBron had at 18, but dare I say, he seems a bit springier to me and a hair faster off the dribble. I see him sort of as the 6'7 SF/SG version of Russell Westbrook (which sounds absolutely insane). Overall, Wiggins looks every bit the part of a future franchise player and his ceiling is as high as it gets.Last edited by STAT; 12-07-2012 at 01:00 PM. Reason: Elaboration

Re: 2013 NBA Draft
Yeah he's a decent jumpshot away from being the real deal (needs higher release). His explosiveness reminds me of vince carter. Hey we may actually find out what vince carter with some balls would have become

Re: 2013 NBA Draft
While guys like Wiggins and Parker are fun to dream about, they won't be in the 2013 draft. And if the Cavs find themselves drafting 1 or 2 in 2014, something went seriously wrong.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft
Parker is one of the most overrated prospects in some time. Would fit in well with the talent of this draft.
He can't compare to Wiggins at all, even though the excuse makers will try.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft
LeBron had a 43" vertical coming out of high school, so I doubt he beats that, but you're right in that Wiggins is springy as hell; he just doesn't need much of a gathering movement or much gathering time in order to get really high in the air. He is one of those guys who can dunk, and, after he dunks, he's still rising up in the air higher. I guess we'll have to tank one more year after this in order to get him.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft
1. Shabazz Muhammad- I think he has the best chance to be a star at the next level. Not sure as to how well he would fit on this team but we desperately need scoring. He needs to get in shape though.
2. Alex Len- The most complete big in this draft and also has high upside. Could be our starting center for 10-12 years.
3. Nerlens Noel- Already has shown the capability to be dominant on one side of the ball. Can't teach his natural ability on the defensive end.
4. Cody Zeller- Solid but not spectacular. I think he could be a valuable piece but I'm just not seeing star with Zeller. Wouldn't be unhappy to see him in a Cavs uniform.
5. Otto Porter- A complete basketball player. Could step right in and make the team better right away. Won't blow you away but could be a perfect fit at the SF.
6. Isaiah Austin- Really needs to stay in school. But if he comes out, it would be hard to pass on his talent and upside.
7. Marcus Smart- Not a fit here but I really like his game.
8. Alex Poythress- What position is he? I like his motor though. You can't teach that.
After that I have no idea. Some combination of Goodwin, Plumlee, McCollum, McAdoo, Gobert.
