    PG: Kyrie
    SG: Waiters, Gibson, Azubukie
    SF: Gee, Omri, Walton
    PF: AV, TT, Kevin Jones
    C: Zeller, Semih

Donald Sloan, Manny Harris, Luke Harangody, Samardo Samuels battle for two spots

Vet PG will take one spot. That will be the only FA signing.

Keep Beasley's ass far, far away from Cleveland.

You know bringing in Beasley would be the wrong thing to do but there's still a part of you that is at least somewhat intrigued by the idea. If he could only get his shit together and give effort all the time. There's so much talent there.
Ultimately it's not worth the risk and he's not the type of player you want around a young team.

Still not expecting much in free agency. Can see the Cavs bringing in a vet or 2 through free agency or trade and maybe taking a chance on a younger affordable FA. Don't see any big FA moves.

Asik deserves 3-4 mil per season in my opinion. It is sickening how teams overpay for size. SICKENING. I pray we don't make a mistake overpaying a shitty big man just because he is 7 feet tall.

The bolded far outweighs the underlined, and it's not even close, IMO.

Ian Mahinmi been linked to anyone yet?

Mahinmi and Flynn would be good for me (maybe toss Redd in if they really want a vet presence)

The Toronto Raptors could have traded the eighth pick for Kyle Lowry, but they held off, choosing instead to aggressively pursue Steve Nash.
Could Calderon join Gasol in L.A.?

    By Marc Stein
    ESPN.com

The Toronto Raptors are quietly getting unexpected moral support from the Los Angeles Lakers in their quest to sign Steve Nash.

Reason being: Sources say the Lakers -- as long as they retain Pau Gasol -- have an inside track to sign point guard Jose Calderon if the Raptors, as expected, must amnesty Calderon's contract to create the needed salary-cap space to sign Nash.

And as long as Calderon, in that scenario, manages to go unclaimed by teams under the salary cap that, as per league rules, are given first crack at signing players released through the amnesty clause.

ESPN.com reported early Saturday that the Raptors are planning a three-year offer to Nash worth $36 million.

It is widely assumed in NBA front-office circles that the Raptors will amnesty Calderon and the $10.6 million he's owed next season to maximize their cap flexibility.

That alone won't get the Spaniard to the point guard-hungry Lakers. Calderon would have to clear waivers through the amnesty process before he'd be free to choose his next team.

If Calderon does make it that far, though, sources say he's excited about the prospect of playing with Gasol in L.A.

Sources say Calderon would also have interest in teaming with Luis Scola wherever the Argentinean lands after ESPN.com reported Saturday that the Houston Rockets are actively trying to trade Scola. Miami and San Antonio are two more teams known to intrigue Calderon if he gets the chance to pick his next destination.

The Boston Celtics are looking for a SG. They have expressed interest in Jamal Crawford, O.J. Mayo, Jason Terry, Nick Young and Sonny Weems.

Glad we're not the ones overpaying for Asik 'cause there were lots of rumors the Cavaliers had interest in him.
There's rumors that Houston may deal Luis Scola to New Jersey. It wouldn't surprise me if the Rockets try to revisit the Varejao talks.

Would anyone else be absolutely shocked if Steve Nash goes to the Raptors? He strikes me as one of the most competitive dudes in the NBA. I know he is canadian and there would be some glory there, but I just absolutely don't see the fit there.
