This is a list of the Cavs best trade assets in no particular order:

    • Cleveland 1st round picks and 2nd round picks in 2013, 2014, 2015, etc.
    • Sacramento's future 1st round pick (top 13 protected in 2013)
    • Miami's 2013 1st round pick (option to swap with LA)
    • Orlando 2nd Round picks in 2013 and 2014
    • Anderson Varejao
    • Tristan Thompson
    • Alonzo Gee (S&T)
    • Antawn Jamision (S&T) (not officially signed by Lakers)
    • Samardo Samuels
    • Luke Walton (expiring contract of around $5 Million)
    • Daniel Gibson (expiring contract of around $4 Millon, and dead eye shooter)
    • Euro player rights (Sasha Kaun, Macvan, Ejike "no show" Ubajoadfahsdhajsdhfkj

And also, the cap space of course, which isn't really traded, just used to absorb.

I'll update this thread whenever the Cavs make deals. Thought it would be helpful. (Move thread if needed)
I think we also have a 2017 First Round pick from the Heat.

Yes, add the 2015 Miami pick.

Also, yes, the Jamison news came out within the last half hour.

Waltons contract is closer to 6 mil, but thats just nitpicking, but isn't Gibsons contract only partially guaranteed?

I could have swore I saw that Jamison was going to sign with LA 3 days ago. I wonder what the delay was?

I think the Cavs most sought after trade assest is that the could create up to $17.4 mil in cap space to facilitate a multi team trade.

I believe that the right to swap picks with LA is with any 1st rounder we have in 2013 and not just Miami's so long ss it is worse than Miami's pick. Although it is highly likely that the Miami pick will be used in the swap, it doesn't have to be that pick.

Also, it may be a good idea to add in that we cannot trade consecutive 1sts unless the prior draft where one may have traded s 1st for that draft has passedm. That does not apply to 2nds.

And the 2015 Miami 1st round. pick still needs to be added. Btw, both Miami picks are top ten protected for two years, then unprotected.

According to Larry Coon, the Cavs can trade Waiters and Zeller 30 days after they sign their rookie contracts.

    Updated.

It's always a good trade when an asset is added to the list and nothing removed.

It was the price to bring him back to the NBA. He had a pretty good year in Israel and his team there was probably willing to give him a guaranteed salary.
