I'm starting to notice some inconsistencies with the lag... The hosting is still somewhat of an annoyance.

Most games you're doing fine, then in the span of 20 mins you'll have one game where you out-DMR everyone and go 30-8 and one game where you just die, die, die, die, die and are lucky to go 1:1.

So are you guys enjoying this game? Since NBA 2K13, ACIII, and Black Ops II came out all close to each other, I had to cut Halo 4 from my October-November game spree, and I usually pick one game up for Christmas. I've played both Halo 3 and Reach.

Also, is the Forge in this game?

Yes there id Forge, and yes this game is unbelievable. I love it.

I bought it during the Amazon sale but have barely had a chance to play it because I got hooked on Hitman: Absolution (a single-player game longer than ten hours! Rejoice!). And now today Far Cry 3 comes out.

Sorry, Halo. I just don't love you as much as the other kids.

Don't know if its still working but yesterday there was a bug to get the new map pack for free. All you had to do was go the the DLC link in-game and it basically treated everyone as if they had bought the map-pack.

I guess it's now considered a "free trial" so by the 18th or so we all have to buy it for real.

I've gotten everything I wanted from a new Halo so I'm satisfied. I've tried visiting these Halo forums but they're just all people bitching, bitching, bitching like little kids. Sort of ruins the fan experience. Imagine if RCF was just people complaining.

Yeah same thing here. I have been having a blast playing this, much more so than Reach or ODST, but the halo forums are a cesspool and I was actually a little bit bummed on halo after going there. I still think Halo 4 is a blast and all that but if the halo community in general is that negative it doesn't leave me with a warm feeling for future halos.

I don't envy 343 Studios in the least. They had the almost impossible task of being handed a mega franchise title (that basically made Xbox what it is today and revolutionized multiplayer first person shooters on consoles) from a beloved game developer in Bungie. Bungie pretty much has a cult following and anything 343 Studios put out with the Halo name on it was going to be scrutinized to SOME extent from this group. That was just going to happen. There are some people that don't think anyone can live up to what Bungie could put out and will have complete bias no matter if 343 developed the best game anyone's ever laid eyes on. Fuck those people.


And for the record, I think this game is the best one since Halo 2. The campaign and multiplayer are top notch.

Man ohh man have I been neglecting my 360 and Halo 4..last time I played my 360 was to play NBA2k13 and that was last week. I really need to crack down and start some more gaming. Fuck.

Anybody else get the new map packs? I bought the first one this weekend and so far I think they are pretty good. I mostly play big team slayer and it is just nice to get a break from Exile once and awhile. I love Exile like everyone else, but with only 3-4 maps in the bts playlist pre-map pack and 3 maps for people to vote on it felt like 90% of my games were on that map.

Just played this game again for the first time since December, and wow it is just a terrible game. It is not competitive at all and winning feels so unrewarding, at least in Reach there was arena which gave you a reason to win.

Plus the only two maps you ever play are Haven and Exile because apparently people don't get bored of playing the same exact thing constantly.

I still haven't gotten sick of Dustbowl in Team Fortress 2 and that game came out like a decade ago.
