rewatched season 1 yesterday.. Occurred to me that Michael Shannon is the best actor on the show and always has been. He completely loses himself in his character/scenes, is frankly juist interesting to watch and is entirely believable with every mannerism and breath that he takes.. YOu're never aware that he's acting, he's just Van Alden
