He epitomizes all of the traits I illustrated earlier.
I'm sincerely sad he isn't really an option anymore. He was my guy before the college season even ended.

Is 52 old? 52 is about right, IMO. Old enough to demand respect but young enough to be a long-term answer if things go well. Not to mention he looks 30. Guy still works out like he's a player. I'd love to hear he is even being considered. I'd have a lot more faith in Haslam/Banner knowing they're capable of turning over every stone. And I think he'd be crazy to pass up the chance of coaching in the NFL.

I met Shaw. He was running a football camp for kids around Palo Alto. His daughters were hanging around and playing. I was very impressed, but got the impression he wasn't looking to leave anytime soon.

Vick was bad this year, but not Skelton/Lindley/Kolb bad. And the rest of the talent on the Eagles compared to the Cardinals? Gimme a break...Whisenhunt was working with straight trash.
Are you kidding with this? Having the best quarterback in the league, who is also mobile, goes a long way in hiding a bad offensive line.
If you can't see that Whisenhunt was working with a bunch of crap this year, I don't know what to tell you.

You can do a lot when you have Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers.
What is your point? Do you really think a coach is suppose to win with John Skelton, Kevin Kolb and Ryan Lindley.
You are only as good as the talent you're given. It explains why Belichick was only a .500 coach before Brady. Look at the talent before judging a guy.
It explains why people like Norv Turner truly suck as a head coach when they're given the talent, and can't do squat. But if you're going to judge a coach on how he does with RYAN LINDLEY, then NO ONE is good enough to coach in the NFL.Last edited by godfather; 01-07-2013 at 01:51 AM.

Re: Chip Kelly Safari - tour over
Just so you guys know, I opened a new thread with the Browns re-opening their search..
http://realcavsfans.com/showthread.p...oaching-search
I figured this ran its course, especially with it this thread having the stench of Chip Kelly in it...
