B00bie is currently dragging the 1988 World Series trophy with his Prius through the Chavez Ravine parking lot as we speak...

It concerns the Indians as well. Trading for Aviles allows them to deal Cabrera for pitching. Signing Swisher would allow them to do the same with Choo. I think we have three solid, young rotation options right now - Masterson, Carrasco, and McCallister. What we need is a young SP with ace potential (like Bauer, Skaggs, Hultzen).

I just wish that damn Ubaldo could bounce back and actually pitch well. We don't even need him back in his ace form. A fourteen win, 4.00 ERA Ubaldo would go a long way to helping us next season.

I think it is more likely that Hannahan comes out and belts thirty home runs next year before Ubaldo resembles anything of an ace anytime soon. I was trying to compromise.

Not really. 14 wins and a 4.00 ERA would be great output at this point.

    So accurate.

It would literally make you ill how little baseball people outside of baseball operations make.

    Great job, though.

I don't know why you're being hostile, I was making a joke based on the fact that they are literally handing out money now.

But think if Ubaldo is our fourth or fifth best pitcher by this point. All of a sudden, those numbers look fantastic from your #5 guy.

Say we trade Asdrubal and get Skaggs.

    1. Masterson
    2. McAllister
    3. Skaggs
    4. Carassco
    5. Jiminez

McCalister is a #2 pitcher? I've seen nothing out of him that indicates he can be that good.

Also, the person who said that the Indians can trade Choo if we sign Swisher...I don't see it. We're not going after Swisher to get more depth, we're trying to fill a hole. You also have the added complication that Swisher would want to DH some days. If you trade Choo...you have Brantley as the only competent outfielder on the roster.
