Actually the Yankees can't afford him this season. Cashman has been told to stay under the $189 luxury tax limit, and since they're paying $40M for third basemen this year, they're having a hard time rounding out their roster in their customary manner. Bunch of tightwads.

Instead they sign Kevin Youkilis and Ichiro. Two guys clearly on the rise.

Spoken like a true Yankee fan.

Pretty sure he was bringing the average age of that team DOWN...as shocking as that is.

If we are to acquire an outfielder in a trade, I would love to add Michael Morse. I have no idea what the Nationals would want back, as the have depth at almost every position. The only thing I have heard is they want LH Relievers, Hagadone is the only Lefty with value, and I doubt the Tribe wants to lose another...

I hear Coco Crisp is on the block out in Oakland? Any interest?

Coco is still my co-favorite Tribesman of all time with Hafner and Omar.

Well, I'm sure they do. That isn't my point, though. Milton Bradley was a good player. He was also a slob and a moron who screwed his ability over with his brain.

Sometimes the wild attitude manifests itself through productivity (i.e. Rodman), sometimes it ends up hurting a player (Bradley, PacMan). How sure are you that Perez isn't A) a flash in the pan; or B) a blow-up away from negating his ability as a past all-star?

With Hamilton in LA now, we might see Texas turn their attention to Swisher and/or Ross. Not good news for us.

On the other hand, the Angels might be looking to move Mark Trumbo. Good power from the outfield, though the strikeouts are a concern, especially with Reynolds already in tow.

This is what happens when the Astros join the AL West. The Angels pull out all their tricks to try and compete against them.

Rival evaluators speculating that best FA fit for TEX now is Swisher, with OF-1B flexibility; TEX would have to give up draft pick to sign.

Swish was waiting for this to happen. I put a 15% chance (and that's pushing it) that Swisher ends up in Cleveland.

Eh? What does the Astros joining the AL West have to do with this? Angels have had a better record than the Astros for years.
