You have to expect Swisher's power to sharply decrease as he leaves Yankee Stadium and gets up there in age. I am well aware of his splits this past season, but that stadium is very conducive to lefties (19 HR from left-side).

Just so concerned with his decline...very scary given his four-year deal.

Praying he proves an exception to the rule.

He had 39 HR's at Home and 39 HR's away the past 3 years. Not sure Yankee Stadium gave him that much of an advantage.

The good thing about the swisher deal Is when he gets a few years older they can slide him Into that DH spot assuming they have or get another productive out fielder. Okay I admit am impressed with the effort this off season and If they sink bad again I can not blame the Front office this time. I wi... will... Be watching this team again this year.

I follow the Tribe fairly closely, but I don't have much knowledge of their [now depleted] farm system. Am I mistaken in thinking they have some kind of stud prospect at SS who could some day replace Cabrera?

No, Francisco Lindor our #1 pick in 2011. Only hit .257 with 6 home runs, 42 RBIs and 27 SBs at Lake County but he's 19 years old

Lindor and Paulino are probably top 100 prospects in baseball, but their ETA is probably 2014 and I'm assuming Paulino won't be at SS at that time.

It's not as if he's fallen off a cliff regarding his power #'s. He had his 2nd highest OPS+ of his career just last year. His away OPS+ was 8 points higher (137) then at home
