People are reading that Omar thing wrong. He would go as a visitor ala Belle last year and whatnot.
Thome is an incredibly good idea. Despite him getting older, he still has pop in his bat and can be a valuable DH.

If they are going for a cheap DH, I'd take Thome over Hafner. Maybe it's just because Thome has been my favorite player since I was a kid, but I've also gotten sick of Hafner over the years.
And regarding the Omar thing, I think that fan was just saying he wants Omar to be at Tribefest this weekend and he agreed with the fan. Not to actually come back and play.
