I think that this could work out for all teams, just because of the fact that teams are acquiring positions at which they need the most in this trade.
Besides the fact that I can't see either of those teams wanting to make this kinda deal. It is completely impossible as you structured it. McGee plays for Denver and isn't in Washington anymore.

I'd like to squeeze another prospect or pick on top of Perkins and the Toronto 1st out of OKC like their own 2013, the Dallas pick, or one of Lamb or Jones. If Andy makes the all-star team, he's definitely going to go up in value, and, as the trade deadline nears and OKC's big men minus Ibaka continue to horribly suck, they might bite for it.

I'm all for getting as much value as we can too, but as it stands, Toronto is 3-11 which is tied for the second worst record in the league. It's early and they'll get better, especially with Lowry coming back after a brief injury, but they probably are not going to be very good. OKC will recognize the value of this pick and likely be unwilling to add value from their end.

If this deal (AV for Perk and TOR 1st) was on the table tomorrow would you be in favor of pulling the trigger or waiting till the deadline and see what you can end up with?

I'd pull the trigger for sure, but OKC is not going to offer that right now, and they may end up having to give up a little extra. We are, after all, doing them a favor by taking on Perkins' contract, which one could consider worth a young prospect or pick in itself. Hell, even without that, Andy, if he were to make the all-star team, could be worth more than a top five pick in the draft to a contending team. He's like the ultimate player for playing winning basketball. His stats couldn't be of any more use or or attributive to winning. Everything he does is for the team and for winning. Have faith that we'll get it done.

What about this if they want to keep Perkins....

    AV/Gibson/Orl 2nd round Pick

    For

    Martin/Toronto 1st/PJ3

Gibson has been putting up similar numbers to Martin(per.) which would only get better and then OKC still has Perkins/AV/Ibaka/Collison as their big rotation.

Maybe flip Martin to a 3rd team for another 1st

Martin has been very solid for them. Plus I doubt they'd trade the guy they replaced harden for this year.

    Exactly.

People have to remember that, as a result of this trade, we're going to have to pay Perkins to suck at basketball for two and a half years. That alone is worth either Lamb, Maynor, Jackson, or Jones. The Toronto pick is the cost for Varejao.

Still think they'll keep perkins just for the fact that he can guard howard.

I hope Presti doesnt fall for the same thing Ferry did when he built the team to beat boston and the spurs only to get knocked out by the magic

Of course that Toronto pick is the prize but my gut feeling is it will very difficult to pry that pick from Presti. He's built that team from the draft and that pick will potentially sustain them as contenders for a long time. Imagine adding a stud young center such as Alex Len to their core. Not to mention Perkins can still be amnestied.
