Re: Who is the Browns' General Manager for the 2013 off-season?
Cleveland initially had the 26th pick in the draft, but traded up to the 10th spot, where it could have drafted Sapp. But Lombardi was scared of Sapp (much more of that can be heard on Sapp’s interview with Howard Stern), so he traded down to the 30th spot and took Craig Powell (bust).
Ah the Nigerian trade up. You package multiple picks to move up only to accept a smaller package in return to move even further back down than you were before. To take a shitty player none the less.Official John Hughes Bandwagon!!!

Re: Who is the Browns' General Manager for the 2013 off-season?
I'm looking for some positive news on Lombardi. A quick google search of "Michael Lombardi is an idiot" pulled up a nice NFL.com video, where Michael Lombardi actually impressed me. Could he just have been a product of a dysfunctional Raiders organization?
Lombardi claiming the Eagles' Dream Team is not even close to a Dream Team

In some more of the top search results, Lombardi labeled Gabbert as a bust immediately and panned the Jags GM for not admitting a mistake and moving on.
I'm starting to warm up to this hire...

Is possible we hire someone with the title "General Manger" still since Lombardi's title is "VP of Player Personnel" ?

Horrible Hire and a decision that will set the franchise back another 3-5 years pathetic!!! feel bad for Gordon and Richardson!!
You cant draft then you cant win long term. You may sneak into a 9-7 once in a blue moon, but get ready for more 6-10 and 5-11 seasons. Sad because i like Chud as coach once he gains experience!Last edited by ajz20; 01-18-2013 at 11:10 AM.

Re: Who is the Browns' General Manager for the 2013 off-season?
I watched the video you linked and he was making good points about the Eagles problems. Also, he picked the Titans to win division in 2011, they didnt win it but they went 9-7 while Heath Evans seemed to bash Lombardi's pick but Lombardi broke down why he thought the Titans had the chance and why he picked them to win the division. He seems like he's improving at assessing talent
