A second rounder, I expect a decent return on investment. He had a good first year, but his sophomore slump has hindered the team greatly. We will see if he bounces back, but if he's off the team in a few years I'll be calling him a bust.

Colt McCoy, on the other hand, is a top of the line back up quarterback. And that can be an extremely valuable position. A Charlie Batch type comes to mind. Sometimes during Super Bowl runs your quarterback gets knocked out and you need someone to step in who can manage the game and grind it out to a victory. Those games can be critical in playoff seeding. McCoy is probably the best options for a back up QB in the league right now, and is the reason a lot of teams have shown interest in him.
A third round pick for a backup QB? You can get a quality backup QB in FA. That's how the stools got Batch.

To be fair some of the dropped passes are on the QB.

If you read the quote, I was responding to it was about Heckerts draft. I don't think we can fairly assess little not being a 'flop' and McCoy is McCoy. You spent a third round pick on him. Was he worth it at this point? IMHO... no!

We don't really know what we have in Little yet. He was a project receiver drafted for his physical skills. He was a RB who hadn't played football in a year when he was brought in. I'm not saying he's over the hump yet, but in the last few games his hands have been drastically better. If he can keep that up than he was absolutely worth the pick.

Holmgren made this pick, not Heckert.

Ok, well my point was that stats can be misleading and if you base your entire opinion on them in sports then you're going to be wrong. So saying Weeden is awful because he has a poor QB rating his a crappy argument.

Again, I think Little will be really good if he can keep the catches up and McCoy was a Holmgren pick.
