Re: Tracking the 2012 Draft picks
Rivers, Lamb and since he had a huge first game...Lillard.
How about a quick simile: Watching the Browns from '99-'12 is like waiting for someone to finish shitting when you've gotta go piss real bad. Now imagine waiting on a 12 year shit...

Here's a link to this year's rookies, sorted by PER--

Jeremy Lamb is rocking a 143.2 PER. It was only for 1 minute of play though.

Re: Tracking the 2012 Draft picks - Updates on Monday
Here's a tweaked version that filters out players < 20 minutes floor time. Beal is off to a slow start.

Re: Tracking the 2012 Draft picks - Updates on Monday
Just a quick comparison of Waiters v Lillard. I know Davis will probably walk away with the ROY award, unless Lillard keeps this pace up, but if we take him out of the equation for now.
Waiters
2012-13 Statistics
PPG 16.3
RPG 2.3
APG 2.0
SPG 1.2
BPG 0.2
FG% 0.480
FT% 0.545
3P% 0.550
MPG 28.8
FGM 6
FGA 12.5
vs
Lillard
2012-13 Statistics
PPG 19.3
RPG 3.8
APG 8.0
SPG 0.8
BPG 0.0
FG% 0.406
FT% 0.947
3P% 0.292
MPG 37.0
FGM 6.5
FGA 16
I bolded where I thought Dion had an advantage. Its not always in the numbers, but the efficiency. The red is kind of alarming for Lilliards case.
Lillard has the scoring & assist edge, but he is given 8 minutes more a game. However, he is turning the ball over more per game.
Waiters has better overall defense with some stats to back it up. Not to mention outside of FT%, he is shooting a much better percentage than Lillard. I also read somewhere that he is making just as many shots as Lillard with 3 fewer attempts per game, but bc of the missed FT opportunities over 4 games he is behind in the point totalWiggins Watch 2014

Re: Tracking the 2012 Draft picks - Updates on Monday
Lillard's minutes played are insane. I feel like Portland is trying to kill the kid.

Re: Tracking the 2012 Draft picks - Updates on Monday
Here's the math:
A top player on the team + no PG depth behind him = lots of minutes for Lillard
Waiter would get a lot more minutes too if Gibson wasn't on the team. As it is, Gibson's looking like a reasonable rotation player this year. This bench lineup's been pretty effective: A. Gee | D. Gibson | K. Irving | A. Varejao | T. Zeller
Here's a link to the 2nd year players with more than 20 minutes. http://bkref.com/tiny/dyIdG Kanter's having a rough start..

Jonas V wouldn't be bad to put up there. I know he was drafted last year, but he's still a rookie.

Lillard gets ROTY, he's been the best rookie so far.
