Next year we have plenty of cap space and are in a great position financially, with over half the team on rookie contracts. Free agents could make more money in Cleveland, because we have way more roster flexibility than Miami, New York and LA currently have.
i said very few are comparable to bynum. quite clearly was not talking about all free agents, or even simply "good" free agents.

bynum was 24 years old and the second best player at his position. those players don't leave via unrestricted free agency often, and when they do they don't aim for destinations like cleveland.

a player of bynum's caliber is not coming to cleveland in free agency unless his name is lebron james (which is an exception for obvious reasons). sorry, but that is just reality no matter how much cap space the cavs have.

a few solid players who can come off the bench is what the Cavs will look for in free agency. Anything else is bonus

I'm betting we have a CJ Miles level signing if we can't get in on the big free agents (lol of course we can't). The FO likely wants another top 5 pick, and we'll know by the end of July if we're going to be a playoff team, or a lotto team based on our signings imo.

One player does not make a draft strong or weak. The 2011 draft was pretty terrible even though it had Kyrie. Most people believe the 2013 draft isn't very deep in potential superstar, all-star talent.

Hmmm yeah, it seems drafts are getting worse and worse

you look at the 2008 draft with rose, love, westbrook, gordon etc...
2009 draft had blake griffin, james harden, curry, jennings etc////
the recent drafts have had no where as much as talent.

so apart from shabazz, isn't anybody good? What about andrew wiggins and Jabri Parker?

Last year's draft was actually really strong.

Drummond and Davis look like franchise caliber big men, Lillard is a stud PG, Waiters looks like he could be an all-star down the road and MKG has been really good as well. HB could be a solid 16/8 caliber guy as time goes on.

I actually think in about 3 years last years draft will look like one of the better ones in a while. No Lebron or Durant, but alot of guys that will be all-star caliber players for their teams.

Drummond got pushed around by Tyler Zeller. Sure a franchise big man, sure. Maybe when he grows a pair.

He's the 2nd youngest player in the league and has already shown to be very effective on both the court (in limited minutes) and the advance metric world so many are fond of.

You keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel better about his potential.

Wiggins and Parker aren't in the 2013 draft unfortunately. If they were we could be looking at the most top heavy SF draft in recent histrory (three top 5 picks as SF's), but again those two aren't in the 2013 draft.
