Does anybody think that we should try starting Miles for a few games over either Waiters or Gee? When he started a while back, he played well in pretty much all of his opportunities, and he just showed tonight how good he can be when he is on.

The season is more or less shot anyways, why not see if Miles can develop into a consistent scoring starter?

I posted it in the game thread, but Miles averaged 22.5 PPG (46% from the field) in 34 minutes in his 4 games as a starter this season.

If he got starters minutes every night I think he would probably a 16-18 PPG a night guy.

Yeah, his problem is just his consistency. He can look like an all-star one night, and then shoot 2-14 the next.

His shot selection is still very shaky, and he still resembles a fresh pile of elk feces to me. But I must admit, I like watching him play 100x more than I ever liked watching Jamison. I want to see some more of his athleticism outbursts like he displayed on his slash to the hoop jam tonight.

CJ has had two off games since Scott brought him back from his bench ban in early December. Both games he played under 20 minutes. Either Scott pulled him in those games because he reverted to whatever mistakes he is making, or he playes better with more minutes.

November: 29% FG% and 27% 3P%
December: 46% FG% and 48% 3P%

See Jamison is whining about playing time out in LA after shooting like 20% for a 5 game stretch and getting benched. What a loser

I want Coach Scott to consider starting Miles over Gee for a short spell to see how that team might play. Then again, CJ off the bench is one of the few good things we've got going in that direction right now.

I think Gee playing a bench roll could also benefit him and allow for him to be more aggressive. I tend to think he blends too much as a starter (Alonzo) It is nice though for us to see the Miles we thought we'd see, warts and all. (versus the horrific player from the start of the season)
