Re: The Job Market w/o College
I couldnt do it. That lady has a propensity for catching me masterbating. When I was 11 she walked in as I was ejaculating. That was just the beginning. Plus she doesnt let people leave if they drink at my parties.
I wonder why females are valued more in corrections facilities.. Not like they can do the job better. By the way, her job is opening and closing the prison gates at the right timesDave_K in moderation in 2013

Did she do an internship? I've found that in college, especially if you are choosing to pursue a degree without huge demand, you need to put forth extra effort. Student organizations, networking, internships. Who you know is important. Does she use the Univerisity's job placement program (if they have one)?

Re: The Job Market w/o College
Just a little update: Just started a new job this week. School is still in the back of my mind, not really sure about my future still but happy to have a little stability right now. I can't sleep for shit, but that happens to be a problem every once and a while. I don't have a consistent sleep schedule so this should help me get back on track. Starting off small for now but defiantly a place I could remain for a while, not a career as of right now but getting myself some money. I feel like a new person already after just one day. Feeling motivated and ready to begin and still keeping my eye open for future career plans and options.
Sometimes the hardest part for me is to just get my foot out of the door, so if you guys helped me in any way with that I thank you.Read this:

Re: The Job Market w/o College
It must matter where you are because not many corrections officers make that mid career let alone right out of the gate.
My cousin was a warden here in Ohio and I think he was close to the 6 figure mark, but he wasn't a intro guard or anything. I think most of those assholes make around 30k to start to tell you the truth.
My buddy that's a cop, on the swat team, and has the shit shift, and has been on the job almost a decade makes around 70k and he's in a high paying district in Central Ohio
