Anyone who posts disparaging remarks about the Indians is spamming the site. Anyone who posts licking Shapiro's balls is, well, contributing positively to the community.

Says the guy who admittedly doesn't know why teams trade for prospects.

Gotta hope this kid has a bounce back year. After what he went through it'll be interesting to see if he starts out hesitant at the mound.

    Don't see that here.

I looked them up. I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about prospects that aren't at the top of the lists so naturally I had to do a few Google searches. In the back of my mind, I couldn't help but get excited as usual when I hear a Cleveland team in a blockbuster trade but even before I did my searches I knew it'd be a bunch of guys with virtually no major league success at all. Sure enough, it was, and although I quickly lost interest and admittedly didn't look much further after I found that out, it didn't seem like these guys were terribly highly touted anyways.

So adding more above average prospects/players to this roster is the answer to competing soon?
    This.

Any updates on Youk or Swisher. Would love to get both of those guys. Sad to see the cabera trade fall through as it really could of helped our rotation. Still not sure what we are going to do about our starting pitching next year.

    Not a difficult concept.

not sure how I feel about this- on one hand, I am suprrised he was available that cheaply, considering what he can do when healthy. At the same time, I think it shows how leery teams are of him that he essentially got the same deal as Joe Blanton. Wonder if this deal doesn't embolden the DBacks into sacrificing young pitching to get Asdrubal. Hmm...

It seemed like Alex White always had some mental/emotional problems. Probably could have gone bad in a lot of places.

I'll assume you're basing his mental issues off nothing, per the usual.

We'll never know, but when you limit pitchers to 75 pitches on a 4-man rotation...people are bound to not live up to potential.

It's funny, because the player they're trading was acquired in a trade.

So were Choo and Perez, for that matter.

But hey, the CC and Lee trade didn't work out....so I guess it's better to just say that's what happens every time and make sure to do as little research as possible.

Apparently it's a more difficult concept for you.

I don't know who that is, or understand your current hard on for me...but I'll continue with my cuntish attitude toward people who troll this board.

I'm trying to remember the last time the Indians acquired a stud player .... straining my brain here ... I mean, there is probably a reason they've sucked perennially for about a full decade. But everything is just fine with the organization according to b00bie, despite this fact. Just fine in Tribe Land. Perhaps we can start to forgive the botching of the CC/Lee trades when they start bringing in players that help them win games again. That'll happen someday, right?
