Still no news on Lohse, huh? I don't care what people say, Boras really screwed him over there.

Throwing simulated games in Florida, up to 90 pitches per outing.

Ready to roll when called upon, supposedly. Curious to see if someone waits until after the draft.

You neglected to mention that those "simulated games" are against teenagers at a local community college. Which makes sense, because he can't play against any kind of professional competition, even the minors.

Is this sore right shoulder of Kipnis suppose to be concerning? Not in the lineup yet again tonight. You would think he would try to get some AB's before the regular season gets fired up. His .180 spring training average is concerning in itself.

They've still got over a week. Kipnis is still young and hasn't really proven he can hit for a high batting average yet anyways.

I wouldn't look much into it right now.

The last thing he needs is being under the pressure cooker in New York. We really dodged a bullet there

Vernon Wells traded to the Yankees.

    Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN
Sources say the Yankees' share of the Vernon Wells contract will be about $13 million over the last two years of his deal.

Some contracts are just so tough to move, I can't believe the Yankees are putting that much into Wells.

But I do think he will rebound and have a good year.

That lineup just seems a bit starved for offense right now. I'm sure Wells can help out, but I just think he's done hitting for anything resembling a respectable average. He still has 20-25 home run power though, and those shorter fences at Yankee Stadium should help with that.
