If we're using what ifs, lets see what happens when Miami plays them with Carmello and Amare in the lineup.

for one carmelo Anthony was out. for two amarae stoudamire hasnt played a game. Knocks shot 40% from three in the 2nd game and are averaging 40% for the season.

You take those shooting percentages from the three down to 30% and the Knocks still win. Meanwhile the heat have been held under 95 points 3 times this seaso. twice by the Knicks,

Home court advantage could be a big factor in a playoff series. Felton is having his best season as a pro and is better than Cole. Kid and Brewer can make wade work for his shots. carmelo can score with lebron. Amare can stand toe to toe with bosh. Novak is a proficient shooting big man who will force theHeat to send their bigs outside.

Miami may be a beter team but the Knicks hit the matchups well.

Whether you like the Knicks or not ( I Dont) you have to admit they look to be a threat in the playoffs.

the knicks take 30 3 point attempts per game. so 9-20 threes a game is not atypical for them.

Exactly. A Carmelo-less, Amare-less, Shumpert-less Knicks team killed the Heat at home. What does that tell you? Nothing.

its tells me along with tier record and consistency and roster additions as well as their focus on the defensive end that they just might be a good team.

why do people not accept that teams improve.

The Knicks did get better. I'm not denying that. They are easily the second best team in the East in my eyes. But how many times is Felton going to out play Wade? How many times is Wade gonna be -33 +/- in the game? Freakin Felton might have played better than LeBron last night even. You don't think the Heat are gonna adjust to that and get their crap together? That is what I am saying.

    Dwyane Wade 34:47 7 10 .700 0 0 1 1 1.000 0 5 5 4 0 0 4 2 15 -16

    7-10 in the 1st game. -16+/-

    felton was 5-18

    Knicks won handily.

The heat came in looking to avenge their previous loss. They failed to do so.

The point is that the Knicks have 6 guys who take over a game at any time. Will this game mean anything whenh the playoffs come around? not at all. The Heat struggled to advance last year and even though they won the Championship opponents showed they were ready to compete.

If the Knicks are in your estimation the 2nd best team in the league then treat them as such. not like a bad team who just got lucky. twice.

They are definitely capable of beating the Heat. They proved that. But the margin of win has been by about 20 both games. Are they that much better? I don't think so. We will see what happens.

Regular season victories don't mean as much as when you play in the playoffs.

Dwyane Wade has struggled, but he's known to play a lot better in the postseason and in clutch moments. The Knicks are indeed a serious threat to the Heat, but they are also a team that has lived and died by the three. That likely won't fly in the playoffs, but I have seen crazier things.

I just hope they can bounce Miami out of the playoffs and we don't have to worry about Derrick Rose getting back to 100 percent in order to take them down. Once Stoudemire gets healthy, along with Melo now, things should get interesting in the big apple.

I don't take any kind of record into account until around the All-Star Break/Beginning of March time.

As of now, the Knicks are playing good ball. We'll see where they stand in a couple of months.

    EDIT: Wrong thread. Ignore.
Patiently waiting for the day I can finally say "Daniel Gibson is no longer a Cavalier." It will be glorious.

A seven game series is much more telling.

Knicks are playing very well right now. People keep talking about how they are shooting all those 3's, but did anybody watch how open they were? They are moving the ball very well and getting WIDE open looks. Percentages are going to stay up if they keep getting open looks like that. And the team D is very good. I'm actually worried that will fall once Amar'e comes back. Having him come off the bench could be a huge boost though.
