no when murray plays the Cowboys have a chance at having an explosive running game. he hasnt been very consistent at all. very prone to injury and has only had 2 impressive outing this season.

the point is in this game the Cowboys were able to capitalize on hadens absence and get back into the game. I m sorry if i sound biased toward the Cowboys. I have been a fan of their since the days of Roger Staubach.

Just to be an ass, I'll add this to the discussion:

DeMarco Murray's explosive run game stats this season:

    Attempts / Yards / TDs
    20 / 131 / 0
    12 / 44 / 0
    18 / 38 / 1
    11 / 24 / 0
    14 / 93 / 0

    Discuss.
I've been nothing but complementary of Weeden.

330 and a TD so far thus season for Murray, he's not the explosive player people think he is.

I think he can be, he's a bigger back and he runs hard. Problem is, Dallas has played behind in many of their games and they have turned the ball over a lot (obviously) - limiting opportunities to run the ball. Not to mention, the guy is made of glass and Dallas' O-line has been garbage much of the year.

I think he has the potential and the talent to explode any given week; just look at the crazy string of games he put together last year. He just hasn't capitalized.

As a Cowboys fan, I'm sorry we all had to watch that abortion of a game. I was literally just laughing after Romo gave you back the ball with that fumble. Both teams deserved a loss in my opinion.

I haven't watched a lot of Browns game, but I was actually impressed with the Browns offense in the first half. When given time, Weeden looked confident. But when Rob Ryan pulled his head out of his ass and started blitzing more, you could see Weeden couldn't make a play under pressure to save his life. Is that pretty much par for the course?

As far as this weird Demarco Murray debate, I think he has the chance to be an explosive and top tier back in this league. However, he has two things working against him: our offensive line is dog shit (Romo's life insurance premiums just skyrocketed last night), and Jason Garret has a tendency to abandon the run game quickly. Also, looking at his overall season numbers is laughable consider how many games he's been injured. If the cowboys can someone keep winning, we get Murray back, and we get Tyron Smith back quick enough on the O-line, we solve our offensive woes and look like the team you saw in the 3rd quarter come December. I wouldn't bet money on it though.

Are you kidding me? Sure other teams have injuries, but most other teams don't have to turn to their 5th corner in crunch time. Skrine almost single handedly lost us this game, he's just the nickel if Haden is healthy. I can't even remember how many PI calls he had, he was horrible yesterday.

On the bright side our D-Line looked really solid, signs of things to come. I know the Cowboy's O-line is in flux, but this team is one defensive end away from having a really good line.

Weeden's biggest knock, besides his age, coming out of college was his ability to handle pressure. That's why I was shocked Ryan didn't blitz more in the first half. He's shown signs of improvement in this area in some earlier games, last game was a big regression.

The Browns have to lead the universe in games scoring 20 or under since the return in 1999.
How about a quick simile: Watching the Browns from '99-'12 is like waiting for someone to finish shitting when you've gotta go piss real bad. Now imagine waiting on a 12 year shit...

    1) Fuck Joe Haden. Not for being injured, which is understandable; but for partying all Thursday night at the casino after sitting practice out. Not the first time this has happened.
    2) Once again, Shurmur goes into turtle mode with the play-calling in the second half.
    3) Weeden looks like he's been Shurmurred, aka he is playing QB like he's afraid; which is strange because he throws so many passes. Same thing that happened to Colt, and Sam Bradford in StL. This guy is toxic to developing QBs.
    4) Horrible refereeing. I wonder what side of Dallas Ed Hochuli lives? What a shit show. Loved how they missed that false start on the LT right before they scored, ignored the BLATANT holding on our DL, and wouldn't let Skrine touch the much larger Dez Bryant.
    5) Greg Little caught EVERTHING, for the second week in a row. Looks like he has turned the corner.
    6) Look like Haslam is regretting saying there won't be any more personnel changes this year, but he has to keep his word to build his credibility as an owner.
    7) Shurmur's lack of adjustments in the second half makes me ill, and doesn't appear to get any better.
    8) Right now we are sitting at #3 pick; Geno Smith or Damontre Moore? Yes I know BW3 is a rookie, but I'm not sure about his future Browns prospects.
    9) The game would have been out of reach for CLE early, had the Cowboys coaching staff knew how to exploit matchups. They stumbled upon the Dez vs Skrine mismatch in the second half, and kept going back to it ad nauseum. Skrine was battling LOL, but he cannot be left on the outside any more.
    10) Good to see Bademosi on the field with the defense.
    11) This might be the game where Shurmur loses the team...

Browns lost what 3 games this year because they couldnt hold leads into the 4th. I would think the Browns losing their lead then coming back and taking it to OT would be a positive.

It would be, but it took some stupid Dallas penalties to put them in position to do it.
