Re: Game 9: Mavs @ Cavs | Nov. 17th | 7:30 PM EST
Can you guys honestly say you hate this loss?
I don't and I love our starting 5. The fact that our starting five has competed every single game should say a lot about where we are headed. Our bench mix is next to impossible so I honestly can't even dog them.
3 years down the line Tristan will be an automatic underneath the basket, Kyrie will be a top 3, and Dion will will our way to a playoff spot. Things are looking good. I couldn't a more picture a more picture perfect situation. These losses suck but are nothing compared to whats to come. We are OKC but on a better path IMO.

Well, in the right now, only Kyrie, Boobie, and Casspi were anything like efficient. Dion was even, but the big guys missed a lot of shots at the rim. Maybe thats because Kaman and Brand were just too physical, but I was disappointed that AV could not must at least ten.

Hey I might be drinking kool aid but it's in the form of whiskey. I don't doubt that we are years away from contention but I do believe we are heading down the right path. I am no Sean Hannity.
In three years we'll have a decent draft pick but we'll have even more decent trading options which will put us over the top. We may or may not be championship caliber but we'll be damn close. We have enough draft picks and trading options to last us a long time. I'm really impressed with Chris Grant thus far.

Re: Game 9: Mavs @ Cavs | Nov. 17th | 7:30 PM EST
I thought we got better bench play tonight. I thought Pargo played pretty well (compared to what we get from Sloan), was able to move the ball around and find open shooters. Casspi did some nice things as well, thought he stayed in his lane tonight and didn't try to do too much. We played slightly better D overall but we still suck on that end and it played a role in the lose, we couldn't close out on shooters and they were knocking down shots all night. Also, we couldn't finish at the basket, the only guy who got any calls was Dion. Andy didn't look like himself, but Tris looked a little better, thought he did some nice things...finishing at the basket was not one of them. But Tris is starting to learn where he needs to be and what type of shots he can expect to get, just needs to convert them now.
Another learning experience...

On pace for that next season not this. It's possible that we could have a winning record if we get another top 4 pick, hit on it and Kyrie, TT, Dion and Zeller progress, we don't trade Andy and we spend money in free agency. Our starting 5 has shown we can win if we didn't have the worst bench in the league.
