Potential is something seen different by people. Potential is like when you are in high school and there is a chick who all your friends think is "ok", but you think she will be really hot (has potential). You date her, and a year later, bam she is a dime.

    Yeah, like that.
I'm not even arguing. I do not claim to know much of anything about Bauer. I feel like that is a legit question to ask though. There must be some serious red flags for the Dbacks to give up on a guy with hall of fame stuff so quickly.

In defense of the douche sausage...at NO point did he say Bauer was a HOF'er.

    Choo on this...

How about a quick simile: Watching the Browns from '99-'12 is like waiting for someone to finish shitting when you've gotta go piss real bad. Now imagine waiting on a 12 year shit...

I beg of you, substantiate this claim with evidence.

We, as Cleveland fans, should know that sometimes a player doesn't fit with a certain team's leadership. I'm sure many Cincinnati fans were wondering what was "wrong" with Brandon Phillips when he was dealt to them. It sounds like Bauer isn't a big hit traditionalist baseball thinkers. I'm confident Francona will be able to find success with Bauer.

I'm not saying Choo is as good as C.C. or any of our other former Cy Young winners but damn!

I'm tired of this cycle where we 1. Build up a solid player 2. Trade them away when we won't pay them 3. Give time to a young player 4. Build up a solid player 5. Trade them away when we won't pay for them.

This isn't like that. We offered Choo a contract extension multiple times, and he declined. His agent Scott Boras was determined to take Choo on the open market. There was literally no chance he would have re-signed with us and he would have just walked away at the end of the year giving the Indians nothing to show for it, had we not traded him. Choo just didn't want to stay here and there was nothing the Tribe could do about that.

Well they could have not sucked...

But otherwise, you basically explained what small market fans need to understand about small market MLB teams.

Choo's agent is Scott Boras, a guy who's known to get as much $ as possible for all of his clients. There was literally (I hate when people use this word too, but here it actually is literally) 0% chance he would have re-signed with us in the off-season.
