I'm sick of people overrating his defense as well. Sure he's serviceable on defense but we absolutely need someone to score at that position.

If we have someone to score at that position, that someone would suck dick at defense. We don't need that, because we already suck dick at defense. Basketball is not all about offense, just watch Steve Nash's Suns, they were very good at offense, but defense was 0, thats why Nash didn't win nothing there. Defense give you Championship, and having TT 1 day when we are competitive team, is better than have scoring machine at that position (Jamison type of player). TT maybe never become offensive threat, but hell, we need his defense. As Coach Scott says, only 3 players play defense in this team: Boobie, Andy, Gee, so be sure that we really need TT's defense in this team. One day when he realize that he is not only athletic big in the league, he will become defensive beast in this league.

Agree 100%. It's sad and probably most of us would never use officiating as a reason we lost, but the refs have been screwing us ever since Deondre Jordan mounted Zeller's back and broke his face with his elbow!!

Just check type of players who came into the league last 5 years, many of them are good at offense and they suck at defense, there is no many players who are good at offense and defense.

the backcourt for the Knicks was 12-34. Cavs held the knicks to 43% shooting.

Thats because of the lack of defensive focus in high school and college because they are asked to score so much coaches let the D slide. Look at Lebron when he first came into the league. I don't think Kyrie will ever be a great defender be he will improve. Gee is the type of specialist you bring in to lock a guy down when needed but we sorely need another scoring option out there with dion and kyrie. Personally I'd rather get a low post guy.

Exactly, thats why it is bonus to have guys like TT in your team. It's a lot easier to find offensive talented player than defensive talented player. You can't just give up on guys like TT just to have a little bit more points per game. Obviously offense is important, but defense wins Championship.

Where the defense really struggled was in pick and roll. OUr bigs, mainly Zeller and ANdy, were playing WAY back on the pick and roll, allowing the man with the ball to get a running start at them. I'd say this was due to Andy's ankle, not feeling like he could stay with his man if he jumped out high on the screen, and Zeller to just being a rookie and basically bad at defense right now.
Patiently waiting for the day I can finally say "Daniel Gibson is no longer a Cavalier." It will be glorious.

What happens around the rim really is getting a bit out of hand. Andy gets smacked in the face for a no call, Waiters gets mugged, Kyrie gets hit. I don't get why the refs refuse to blow their whistle for this team. Is it because they're young? I've noticed it in several games.
