Re: The 2013 Cleveland Indians
Tribes' next 25 games are against the Red Sox, Nationals, Rangers, Tigers, Yankees, Rays and Reds. Not a sub .500 team in the bunch. It should be interesting.
I'll be surprised if Kluber isn't back in Columbus before the end of that stretch.

Re: The 2013 Cleveland Indians
I was bored and looked at Junes games and the attendance really looks like its going to be significantly better

Re: The 2013 Cleveland Indians
I expect bigger numbers in June because attendance always rises in June.
There is a bigger issue at play here, as the usual summer rise in attendance doesn't mean as much when every team sees a similar bump.
What is the biggest issue is this city's inability to support three franchises.
It's like the Hunger Games, one of these teams as we look well down the road might have to go.

Re: The 2013 Cleveland Indians
Realize I'm the minority - but I'm a MUCH larger Cavs / Indians fan than Browns fan, so wish it was Browns that were in danger. Would imagine 81 MLB games and 41 NBA games are better for downtown than the 8 NFL games, too - though I could be wrong.
Be interesting to see what would happen to Tribe attendance if the Cavs left.

Re: The 2013 Cleveland Indians
Francona said Perez deleted twitter account to focus more on the team. Closer plans on issuing written statement soon.

Worth noting: Closer Chris Perez had never allowed home runs in consecutive appearances until his last two for the Indians.
— Jordan Bastian (@MLBastian) May 21, 2013
Perez: "The decision to deactivate my Twitter account was a personal choice I made in order to maintain the greater focus on the success..."
— Jordan Bastian (@MLBastian) May 21, 2013
Perez: "...of the team this season and our shared goals moving forward."
— Jordan Bastian (@MLBastian) May 21, 2013
Perez: "We have an extremely positive and supportive group of players, coaches and staff members in our clubhouse and..."
— Jordan Bastian (@MLBastian) May 21, 2013
Perez: "... I want to participate in activities and routines that contribute positively to the culture we're building here."
— Jordan Bastian (@MLBastian) May 21, 2013
Perez: "Out of respect for my teammates, I want to minimize any potential off-the-field distractions..."
— Jordan Bastian (@MLBastian) May 21, 2013
Perez: "...so this is the only time I will comment on this topic. Thank you for your understanding."

Re: The 2013 Cleveland Indians
This really is a good development for him, frankly. To me, this is the downside to the social media- it exposes them to too many more dipshits. Perez seems like a guy who just can't let the hecklers go (see the incident in Oakland last year with that moron, maybe this can help him keep his head clear. I would have to think that Francona would have some advice there having managed in Boston about how to handle that sort of scrutiny.

Re: The 2013 Cleveland Indians
So Jim Bowden thinks the Indians should just blow everything up. I don't know how he's still employed..

Re: The 2013 Cleveland Indians
Also, extremely off topic but I was watching the Dodgers vs Brewers highlights on MLB TV and Harold Reyonolds just said Hyun-Jin Ryu has been "Ryu Good"
