Lee sent that joke to me via PM and asked me to post it. His fault.

    HC: Mike Zimmer
    OC: Hue Jackson
    DC: Paul Guenther

The Browns could do a whole lot worse than that group. Although I'm a bit weary that Zimmer's going to be 57 before the start of next season and has never been a head coach before on any level (not just that but he's interviewed and not landed a gig nine times already which is a red flag), but he definitely fits the bill of what Haslam and Banner said they were looking for in a coach.

Plus it would badly harm a divisional rival which is always a plus.

I would like Zimmer I just think his personality and Joe Banner's cannot coexist. If he is hired there is either going to be a power struggle (like with Reid and Banner in Philly) or Zimmer will be let go after 1-2 seasons.

He has a huge chip on his shoulder from being passed over. It is also the belief as to why he hasn't gotten any HC gigs is that he is too honest and brunt.

Maybe something went down like this. So Zimmer what do you think of our roster? Zimmer replying "It is an absolute joke on defense. You don't have one player currently that is worth anything and the defense needs a complete overhaul. I think if you go out and get player X, Y and Z then we could be better off and pushing for a slightly better record than the year before."

While Ownership or the FO may know what he is saying they don't want to hear it.

Yes, because the last time we made noise, that worked out perfectly for us. Yep. Heckert is still here.

No seriously, I think if we all keep including keywords such as "Mike Zimmer", "New Browns Head Coach", and "Great Choice" in all of our posts, Google search will pick up on the activity, and the next time Jimmy Haslam seaches "who should be the next browns head coach?" on Google, this thread will show up on the first page!

The Mike Polk-bashing in this thread is equally puzzling as it is gratuitous. At least Jig rightfully credited the Cleveland Tourism videos for being brilliant. Between the vast majority of his videos (granted there are a few clunkers in his portfolio), his stand-up material and even his Facebook posts/tweets, Polk is one of the sharpest comics in the country, let alone Cleveland. He's also a really decent dude, so the "retard" and "douchebag" blasts can get fucked.

I edited out the video because this isn't a comedian thread. The Haslam mock video at least fit the bill of the thread.

Mike Polk goes out of his way to attempt to make a career out of ripping on Cleveland... And he's from Cleveland. Fuck that. I have had enough assholes do it throughout college and life in general. Right there with Honey Boo Boo and the Kardashians to me.

    Ever heard of self-deprecating humor?
