Re: Ohio State FB Recruiting
Chad Simmons, Southern analyst for Scout.com, says that Vonn Bell will be choosing between Tennessee and Ohio State. Alabama did not send him a Letter of Intent.
Also, Taivon Jacobs, who committed in July, will be announcing between Ohio State and Maryland. He has a brother who already attends Maryland in addition to having a one year old child. With the addition of Wilson yesterday, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Jacobs end up with the Terps.

Re: Ohio State FB Recruiting
keep in mind taivon jacobs has a child, if his girlfriend isn't coming to c-bus i doubt he does at this point. Can't fault him for wanting to stay in Mayland/close to home.
edit for followup thought: shouldn't the dude have thought of that before committing months ago? a bit strange at this point. Wonder if he's being pushed out the door by someone else?Last edited by MGMT; 02-05-2013 at 04:39 PM.

Re: Ohio State FB Recruiting
It's pretty easy to read between the lines. I feel for Taivon as Buckeyenation piles on him. The kid has clearly been recruited over and being shown the door in a polite as way possible. It happens in big boy recruiting.
Ohio State isn't going to embarrass him and say they have retracted his scholarship and Taivon isn't going to embarrass himself and tell the world he no longer has an offer. It essentially came down to Chip Kelly handing us Dontre Wilson and a late bloomer in James Clark. You watch Wilson and Clark film and it isn't even close who the better players are. If OSU had 85 scholarships Taivon is probably still a part of the class. And the other point no one is bringing up, is the fact that Taivon can play DB, but OSU also got a late switch in Gareon Conley. His versatility isn't a huge asset when the Buckeyes have recruited elite talent pretty much across the board outside of offensive line, IMO.

I never believe anything until the fax arrives. Having said that, I trust in Urban Meyer. I'm still going to sweat the Ezekiel Elliot decision.

Re: Ohio State FB Recruiting
Seems as though all major outlets are calling James Clark to OSU. Absolutely huge news.
