Supposedly the plan the whole time was for him to grayshirt, but the family decided it was best to take a scholarship offer NOW from a school like Florida.
It doesn't appear the other commits had much impact.

Yep - he signed with UF. Essentially received Clark's contract. Hate to be callous but would much rather have all the guys who ended up signing. Meyer never thought they would haul everyone but it happened. Wish him the best

Townsend was a loss, no doubt. Kid has a boot. That said, I'm happier they got Clark. There is a stronger possibility of finding a punter in the cracks than a guy with Clark's speed and athleticism.
Great class. Now, they need to parlay that into a bowl win and another great class. Hopefully with a punter/kicker.

From things I've heard and read is Barrett is a much more developed passer then Braxton and does have good running ability but he is not the athlete that Braxton is. Originally Posted by MDLT
