Re: Browns hire Rob Chudzinski
Some good news from the OBR:
Just got off the phone with someone definitely in the know.........
I am told Mike Lombardi has not been hired by the Browns and the speculation within the organization has found it comical how reports keep surfacing he has been hired.
As of this writing, Lombardi is not a member of the organization.
Former Browns defensive coach Mel Tucker has been spoken with by the new HC about the vacant DC position.

Re: Browns hire Rob Chudzinski
its weird i just caught up on this thread after heavy heavy heavy drinking last night (not related to hiring), on Damage's board everyone picked up on Tucker right away being the DC, on this board this is the first mention I have seen of it. That said either Romeo or Tucker would be a good hire, i just wish it wasnt a switch to the 3-4.

Re: Browns hire Rob Chudzinski
He's so pasty.
The Browns did manage to avoid the hilarity factor this time by not hiring a CFL coach or guy that went 2-4 in Armed Forces bowls.
Chud fits the mold of a good HC candidate. It's been a long, long time since they've had one, so who's to say we'll even recognize it when we see it?

Re: Browns hire Rob Chudzinski
OMG! He said, "its a process"!!! Too much like Shurmur! *Sharpens pitchfork

I honestly laughed when I thought of the idea of the HC's name being Chud, but that has literally nothing to do with how I feel about the hire.
A guy who wants to be in Cleveland and is a candidate who will stay for a long time. A young, bright offensive innovator. Someone who's seen and dealt with a multitude of players and personalities. I'm going to give this guy a chance (surprise surprise) because at least there is a study that he fits in rather than just being who gets whispered into Lerner's ear.

Re: Browns hire Rob Chudzinski
I went to bed about 10 minutes before the news broke. Took me about an hour to catch up. Holy Crap.
Chud was 2nd on my list behind Zimmer. Chud and Norv is a great pairing though and I'm optimistic about it.
4-3 to 3-4. Not excited about it. It deffinately takes our strong defensive players and diminishes their talents, that's what I don't like. Jackson simply won't be as good as he was in a 4-3. He's also getting to the point where Banner will cut bait with him in a few years. It would be foolish to base your defense off of his talents. DE is just not as important in the 3-4. One of our strong interior lineman is going to have to move to the outside and be less effective. I think Taylor is your best NT with Rubin as a + sub while Hughes can be a very effective reserve. Winn on one DE is fine. We are missing the other DE IMO. The biggest question is can Sheard play OLB? If he can this move is not nearly as painful as we think. This draft is loaded with Rush OLB so if Sheard can play the other OLB we are in great shape. Use FA to get another OLB depth guy and a middle LB starter and we're no worse for the wear.Last edited by Phills14; 01-11-2013 at 10:19 AM.

Seriously, people....do yourselves a Gdamn favor and stfu about how a guy looks. You sound like absolute idiots who belong on any number of a bunch of other CLE message boards...but not this one. It really takes credibility away from any other post you make...unless your name is Jig_whatever the f he calls himself now, you ain't gettin' away with it.
