Old elk shyt plays 33 minutes and gets 0 assists. He's averaging .7 assists per game on the season. POINT SEVEN. Do you now how selfish you ahve to be as a 2 guard to not manage (or really even be close) 1 assist a game? That takes a special, special talent.
Just to be clear, this is the worst in the league for all shooting guards. Elk. Shyt.Last edited by Rich; 01-11-2013 at 11:42 PM.
Patiently waiting for the day I can finally say "Daniel Gibson is no longer a Cavalier." It will be glorious.

That's the main problem with Miles and Gee. They have tunnel vision. When they get the ball, they either pass it immediately or not at all. As soon as either one takes a dribble, there's at least a 75% chance an ill-advised shot will soon follow.
Miles needs to stick with what he's good at: catching and shooting. If he has to take more than one dribble, he should not be allowed to take a shot (unless of course he has a wide open path to the hoop). The same goes for Gee on offense. Gee is on the court for his defense. His offense should be spot-up threes, scoring off of cuts to the basket, and catching oops. If he dribbles more than once, he's disqualified from shooting.

Elk shyt was slingin turds tonight. Droppin dimes like Tarence Kinsey in a D-league game. What a perfect tank commander. Just good enough to stay on the court with a few made buckets but can ruin an offensive flow with ease, selfish enough to ensure 5-6 empty possessions a game, and passes the eye test with little to no muscle tone and horrible posture.

But, really, I don't care. Thompson played well tonight. Waiters played well. Irving played well for the most part. That's the only thing worth caring about this season. The rest of the guys aren't worth worrying about. And against a good team, in a place where they don't lose, and the refs screwing us over at every turn, I'll take a close game till the very end, in which we led most of the way. Need to keep perspective.

We really, really need a big. I know the Cavs are in a situation where they need to go BPA no matter what, but dammit Zeller is not the answer, particularly defensively.

Re: Game #38: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Denver Nuggets - Friday, January 11th 9:00 PM ES
random thoughts from attending the game in person;
very convincing game that the Cavs have their guard duo of the future, both Dion and Kyrie looked smooth most of the time and were both aggressive and looking to penetrate when they could; once they start getting more calls it'll only change for the better. Really like their chemistry, and the rotations were much better this game as I like having a mixture of them playing together in crunch time & trying to leave 1 out there at all times to keep the offense flowing. Game also showed how badly we need AV back, if anything I think having him out has a) lowered his trade value and b) kind of demonstrated why we should not put so much stock into age and realize he fills alot of holes missing. Zeller got continuously punked and even though the Nuggets were like 3/7 on slam dunks the bigs were having their way, even Koufos. Tristan showed some game but if Andy's out there thats a win period.
Other random thoughts, livingston & walton getting heavy PT and doing merely ok I kind of wish Pargo and KJ got more minutes. Alonzo's got toughness but it must be pretty predictable guarding him, I think his offense has regressed from last year. Cavs were looking really solid until it turned into a callfest in the 3rd and it completely threw off the rhythm of the game, no one could hit a shot and Denver creeped back in it. Fun times though I'll always catch the Cavs when I get a chance in Denver.

Thanks for the rundown wabberjocky. Didn't get to watch the game tonight and unfortunately don't have cable to check out the FSO replays. Anyone know where the game can be found online?

We really need size from the bench big. Jajuan Johnson is in the Canton Charge he could probably get some minutes here.
When in doubt, step up the defense
