But for real, it's nice. I thought tablets were gonna be a waste of money when they were announced, and then once I got an iPad a year later, I use it constantly. Like hours a day, and I've pretty much thrown my laptop in the trash.

This has exactly been my experience. And given what I was looking for in a tablet, the iPad was the right choice. This is my first apple product too.

Ive played around with the 4 a bit and it is very nice. I had the original and sold it about 2 months ago and was going to buy the mini but decided to wait until the spring to see if they come out with a mini with the retina display which seems likely. I would say that to you. If you were able to and wanted to do this if I were you I would return the 4(you have 14 days to return I believe) and wait until March or April they are supposed to come out with the iPad 5 which will be thinner and lighter with some other upgrades.

Why get the iPad 5 when the iPad 6 is coming out 5 months later? Better just to wait.

All jokes aside apple is going to updates to every 6 months.... the next one will just be a design update. Don't believe anything else.
