Re: Good TV Shows
Spartacus without Andy Whitfield and John Hanna just feels different. In addition I think Season 1 was/is the best (aside from the story line) mainly because the anticipation for the next round of gladiator battles build up excitement. Right now it just feels like its lost a bit of touch.
Missing RCF's "Breaking Wind" segments.

and weeds...and dexter...and himym....and so on.
who cares about putting out a quality product; it's all about the dollaz yo. which makes gilligan's decision to end breaking bad all the more impressive.
lol no. not even the funniest on tv right now (community, parks and rec, 30 rock, new girl....), much less since seinfeld.

Re: Good TV Shows
Just finished watching season 2 of the U.S. version of "Being Human" on Netflix. Highly suggest it for anyone looking for a new show.

Re: Good TV Shows
Community is a fantastic show and is underrated IMO. Smart, witty comedy that you have to watch in order to fully appreciate, a la Arrested Development. The characters really grow on you and Chevy Chase, Donald Glover, Joel McHale, and Ken Jeong all do a fantastic job.
It took a lot of convincing for me to start it up, but after sticking with it for a couple episodes I was fully hooked. 4th season starts in February. I suggest.

Re: Good TV Shows
I'm diggin this new show The Following. Pretty intense violence and gore for a non cable show. Acting is so so, but good story line. Silence of the Lambs for TV.

Re: Good TV Shows
Holy shit. That show has me hooked already. If anyone likes psycho serial killer dramas with a good amount of gore this is the show for you. 14 more episodes and an encore showing on Friday night. Highly recommended.

Re: Good TV Shows
What network?
And I agree - Weeds was awesome until like season 5 and Dexter fucking belongs on USA Network.
Shameless is solid for some ridiculousness, house of lies is ehh. The only shows I'm dying for are breaking bad and mad men.

Re: Good TV Shows
I love Community, it strikes me as the same situation as Arrested Development. Witty comedy that isn't really appreciated during its time, it will gain popularity after it's cancelled and on Netflix. It started a little slow, but hit its stride when they stopped trying to make Joel McHale the central character and focus more on the others. He's the most boring of the lot. My favorite is Chevy Chase. I know he's been butting heads the suits behind the scenes, hope he doesn't leave the show before it's cancelled.
I've got this DVRed, haven't had a chance to watch it yet but I'm looking forward to it."Any asshole can be a father, I want to be a champion." - The League

Re: Good TV Shows
I'm not sure if you were asking me, but it's FOX. Monday's at 9, encore this Friday.
I'm honestly surprised it made it past the filters for reg TV violence and gore. I recorded it too. I'll probably watch it again later this week. I already can't wait for the next episode. Never seen anything like it on reg TV before.

Re: Good TV Shows
I'm looking forward to watching The Americans, it looks promising.
But I've recently started watching The Sopranos, again. I like going back and seeing/understanding what I hadn't the first time around. I find that the really good show (Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empires, Breaking Bad), all need a second viewing, from me.
True Blood needs to come to a close, and fast. It's just awful, now.Small minds can't comprehend big spirits...
