The NBA Trade Machine Thread
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine
For those of you that don't know, we get to be GMs and make trades, and then we get told if we helped the team based on PER. It's pretty realistic in terms of restrictions, salary, and everything like that, and you can even share your trades on ESPN and get ripped on by fifteen year olds that sit on there all day just to ridicule.
Here's an example: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=by4z5mm
The trades don't have to be practical, and this thing is pretty fun to mess around with for possible trades to see if the salaries match up.
So... have fun.

Re: The NBA Trade Machine Thread
Also, if ESPN were smart, they'd make a Trade Machine 2.0 that actually factored in things like draft picks and team management. So, for example, you're more likely to get a good deal from the Timberwolves than the Spurs because the Timberwolves management is stupid. It would also factor in expiring contracts for teams that have cheap owners, and overall it would be more like a game where the machine will accept or reject your trades.
Actually, this is a terrible idea. I would never get anything done at work.

Re: The NBA Trade Machine Thread
That's what I've always wanted. I hate actually making one of the trades, and then having to say "also, factor in this draft pick, that draft pick..."
