Marreese Speights Has a Player Option

It's hard to complain about 3-for-13 shooting when the guy's 12-for-12 at the line.

Nothing like 4 for 23 shooting in the past two games to drop a player's numbers back down to par.

Looking at Marreese's shot chart, it seems he'll shoot up a J from just about anywhere on the court. You'd think he'd focus on some sweet spots.

Speights was pissed and whining about something in the fourth quarter. I think he got pissed at CJ chucking up terrible shots and then even mre pissed when he got benched. Now he tweets about it. Smh. Living up to his m.o. already.

I really think the Cavs should trade Speights before the deadline and see what we can get for him. We can always target him in free agency if it creates a big blow to the team or something.

Marresse has had some pretty ugly games for a big since his exciting start: 6-15, 3-13, 1-10, and now 4-12.

He's a good finisher, and his spot-up shooting has been solid and his rebounding has been good; but his hook shot looks more like a prayer. Maybe he can work on it?

His minutes seem to be decreasing as well ...

couldn't the Cavs do the same with Speights? they have a lot of cap space this summer (Walton and Boobie come off the books), the question is is this still allowed under the new CBA? in my opinion this would be a creative way to keep Speights, reach the salary floor in 2013 and preserve cap space for 2014 or am i missing something?

I think that's all dependent on the offers we get for him. If we could somehow get a 2014 lottery pick (pipe dream) for him, we'd trade Speights in a minute.
