Re: North Korea says Nuke Tests Target the US
What, you thought the world was just going to kiss the asses of those countries with tons of nuclear weapons forever?
Wake up. The US is known to economically take advantage of other nations for personal gain. Whether through economic sanctions or other forms of politics, we aim to economically deteriorate the countries of those who do not share our values and goals. If the country is already struggling,it hits the people harder than most of us can imagine. These methods are not completely different from the other "punishments" the US can employ with the most powerful military in the world. Just slower and easier to hide. We starve ideas like this into their heads.
You really think they hate us for a freedom? It seems more like we're a threat theirs. This can't last forever. People have a breaking point. Shit like 9/11 doesn't happen for no reason at all. Somebody got the raw end of a stick.
We're assholes, they're assholes. But we're the assholes with the guns so you can't expect the other assholes to just be fine with that forever. This will keep happening and happening and happening until something gives in a big way.

Re: North Korea says Nuke Tests Target the US
Where've you been, dog? Read the papers much? This is America. We get some stuff right. But even our military murders and rapes women and children. Doesn't just happen in North Fucking Korea.
Come ON! What a cop out explanation of what's really going on. Did you really buy when our president said that? Was he gods messenger to you? This shows you don't want to learn the facts and reasons behind all this, choosing instead to believe in the supernatural. You were manipulated by a man with a book? With this religious attitude I think we are all likely to meet our deaths sooner rather than later. Once you call me evil, I know you're willing to kill me, and in turn, I'm willing to kill you to defend myself.

Re: North Korea says Nuke Tests Target the US
The US does not commit crimes against humanity against North Koreans. Its government does. Sovereign nations should be held accountable for the treatment of their own citizens. The ills that befall our citizenry as a result of a powerful empire and bureaucracy pale in comparison to the evils- yes evils- perpetrated by NK in the past half-century.
First of all, the war on terror is not directly applicable to our foreign policy on rogue states. Blowback has nothing to do with how north korea, a sovereign state, treats its own citizens. Though our conflict with them began in the cold war it is now a matter of world peace, regional stability, and our relationship with our allies. It is for these reasons, and the crimes against humanity which are facts not just allegations, that the US and other nations rightly sanction NK. It defies common sense why that state has not failed YET, but when it DOES it should not possess advanced nuclear technology. You really think they hate us for a freedom? It seems more like we're a threat theirs. This can't last forever. People have a breaking point. Shit like 9/11 doesn't happen for no reason at all. Somebody got the raw end of a stick.
This is the worldview of a simpleton. "We're both assholes so the US should back down on NK." You ask me to wake up... I say you should grow up and consider the immorality of a powerful nation such as the US not excercising its hegemonic power to advance US interests, the interests of our democratic capitalist allies, and the greater good of humanity. If this sounds like fascism to you perhaps you should take another look inside North Korea. We're assholes, they're assholes. But we're the assholes with the guns so you can't expect the other assholes to just be fine with that forever. This will keep happening and happening and happening until something gives in a big way.
To defend NK when it has so clearly abdicated its duties as a government you attempt to excuse inexcusable evils. Blowback is not the issue here. The US, south korea and japan are not at fault when NK decides orphans shall die so that they might build another warhead. The fault lies with NK alone when it threatens war upon peace-seeking nations.Last edited by Richard Dawkins; 01-28-2013 at 04:20 AM.

Re: North Korea says Nuke Tests Target the US
For those of us in Cleveland, were safe. Why would anyone waste a nuke on anything near our city? If NK shoots first, we will get support to blow them to high hell.

Re: North Korea says Nuke Tests Target the US
This statement contradicts itself. Sovereign means that there is no one above you to hold you accountable.
I don't think anyone is defending North Korea when they say we don't need to invade and occupy their land. There are lot of tyrannical assholes in the world, are we supposed to occupy all of them? Why don't we march into China while were at it? It sucks that there is evil in the world, but we have neither the money or the authority to try to eliminate it by force.Last edited by OptimusPrime; 01-28-2013 at 10:42 AM.
