Re: NBA All Star Weekend
Team Chuck has like no outside shooting. Team Shaq has like all the outside shooting in the world.

Re: NBA All Star Weekend
I would assume Shaq would start Lillard and Kyrie together in the back court. And Drummond of course at center. But Shaq doesn't have a PF at all or any other bigs besides Zeller. I wonder what he is going to do with his starting line up? I'm sure he won't start Zeller, but he will have to start 2 out of 3 from Thompson, Barnes, and Parsons at SF and PF. Weird line up.

Re: NBA All Star Weekend
First time Kyrie is coming to Houston. He's doing something every night. I'm not home. I'm bitter.

My goodness, looks like I'll actually be watching all the festivities this year.

Kyrie the only player to be part of all 3 nights of festivities.

Re: NBA All Star Weekend
Team Chuck offense will probably be getting a guard to chuck up a jumper, play all the bigs guys and just crash the boards

I feel sorry for Tristan. They just won't let him play on Kyrie's team. It's now two years in a row.

Re: NBA All Star Weekend
With Drummond out, I'm not sure Team Chuck will have to do much more than heave the ball in the general direction of the rim ... and Davis, Thompson, Faried, etc, will grab it and throw it down.
A lot comes down to how much Kyrie will play, but All Star players will sometimes be bothered to put a hand-up to contest a shooter ... but not do much to stop a dunker.

Re: NBA All Star Weekend
I'm not sure it will matter, though. They can just relentlessly swing the ball around the outside of the three line back and forth until someone is open. And even if someone isn't open, they've got a couple of guys who can at least run pick and rolls and Kyrie, who can get to the hoop at will in actual games.

Re: NBA All Star Weekend
Even wide open jumpers miss. TT quietly dunked his way to 10 of 11 shooting last year, to not quite keep pace with Kyrie's 12 of 13 with 8 3pters, but what if Kyrie plays limited minutes?
Klay or Kemba might go nuts for team Shaq, but Beal, Leonard, Knight, Thomas, and Shved won't need to be nearly as efficient if their bigs dominate the boards.
